I have always been a proud citizen of the United States. How could I ever forget all of those men and women who willingly gave their lives in order to preserve our freedoms and rights as citizens? Our country is one of the most powerful in the world, yet we don't have a king or dictator. We elect our presidents as leaders and we don't mind having two political parties.
Not only am I proud, but I am grateful for those in the Army, Navy, Air Force and all the other branches of the military. Over the course of the United States, our armed forces have served in more than eight wars, and gotten rid of the world's most wanted terrorists.
The world stares in awe at how well the nation is doing. Other countries barely have governments! Over the course of our country we have maintained a strong political democracy. We are prepared for anything. We stand up against war. We can handle and rid our country of a depression. We protect ourselves from nature's wrath and help other countries in need. We have one of the lowest unemployment rates in existence. I am proud of the way our country stands up for what is right.
The world depends on the United States. In 2010, a devastating earthquake hit the small country of Haiti. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Yet they received help. How? Other countries would have charged money for what our country did for free. Every country that needs help should get it. Our nation is willing to supply. We always stay behind after a war and help the country rebuild. We can afford to save lives.
We are the United States of America. We back down from nothing. We have the ability to help, enrich, and save lives. I am proud of my country because all people are free.
