Neoplatonism teaches the order of the: World Creators, World Creator-Creators, those that give the World Creator-Creator a life/purpose/soul, and the final "One".
As it can be seen, there is quite the order to the system. I suggest that with a minor reworking, we can complete philosophical cycle that may solve the existential crisis.
First, let us give names to the order suggested by Plotinus starting at the "top,":
The One that gives birth to
The Hypercosmic Being that gives a soul, purpose, and life to the
Multiversal God, this being has some form of sentience, possibly giving reason our universe beginning in low entropy. The Multiversal God creates
Celestial Gods, these are any Gods that are aware of humans existence.
As it can be noted, "The One," is without life, soul, or purpose. It merely exists. Also, there is an order to the system. I suggest this order is counterintuitive, the philosophy proposes a cyclical nature and then goes on to suggest a top-down hierarchy influenced by the Western way of thinking. Stripping this idea, as well as the obsolete idea of a omniscient God, we can rework the system. Starting from a nondescript point:
The Hypercosmic being gives life to the Multiversal God that creates universes which create sentient beings that give names to the One which has an ineffability that creates the Hypercosmic Being.
As it can be seen, this allows for multiverses. If any of these multiverses create sentient beings (Humans are the only known example) these beings in whichever environment they find themselves in, attempt to define the One as being something that the human is not. This means that the One is without a soul, or life, or purpose, something humans all have. By creating the One, a soulless creature, we need to then create a soul for it to not have. By creating a soul, life, and purpose, we can give a soul, life, purpose to the Hypercosmic Being. The Hypercosmic being then creates universes.
This means that humans consciousness is merely a knot in the thread of low functioning soul that runs through all multiverses. Any time a new sentient being in any of the universe gives name to the One, therefore starting a new cycle, they become a new knot. As it can be seen, without these knots, there is nothing to give birth to the One and the process, though still existing, is without name.
As it can be seen, each part of the cycle is as important as the next. This circulation is another aspect of the One and its perceived omnipresence.
I suggest we learn from the old Greek schools of philosophy.
We should view the universe as the Platonists, we should view ourselves as Epicureans, and we should view sentient beings as the Skeptics.
As I have laid out why we should view the universe as the Epicureans, we should view ourselves as the Epicureans merely because it is how human nature works, and for humans to believe they can escape nature is one of the roots of current issues, such as the constant pursuit of oil. Epicureans promoted communities, and living to seek ones pleasures so long as they didn't impede the pursuits of others. While not explicitly stated as a human right, for existentialism has shown why human rights should not be trusted, they are merely the best way for humans to live in accordance with our evolution.
The skeptics proposed that the "truth" should be viewed with scrutiny. While I am aware the skeptics would most likely reject my proposal as a circular argument, I believe given the overwhelming evidence provided by quantum physicists, such as Boltzmann, they would except the theory on scientiic grounds. The skeptics mainly opposed authority,which is a main point in rejecting the Platonists hierarchical theory.
