About the Universe

There are two general widely held views as to how the universe around us came about, there is the naturalist view that everything was formed by natural processes over the course of eons and there is the view that is spiritual which believes the world and everything else was the result of supernatural intervention. There is little to no evidence for supernatural phenomena, and the possibility of events which are beyond the natural laws of the universe seems doubtful. But how everything in the universe came to be was the result of organizing principles inherent in reality which formed all, principles such as gravity. Also, if the big bang theory is true, and there seems to be a lot of relevant evidence to indicate it is; when the universe started all matter and energy where condensed into a small point which was only possible because of the immense gravity such an object created, then for some reason this object begin to grow or what people call the expansion of space time. Natural principles like gravity eventually created stars and planets which would eventual harbor life. Yet the universe is not immortal for eventually all stars will exhaust there fuel and the ability to created new stars will be deleted and the universe will be cast into eternal darkness. Though I do not mean to sound like a support creationism, if the naturalist view is true then the universe sounds some what like a life form, it started out a something small like a seed or single cell which turns into an embryo and grew into something much larger and complex but would eventually die. I am not suggesting that the universe itself is sentient or alive; but I saying that there are some commonalities with life and the universe. Perhaps the universe is not the result of random meaningless events but has some purpose in mind; that everything results in the way in was meant to. Something to think about.
