my definition of a soldier - a person who has or is fighting a battle

When you think of a soldier, what do you think of? Do you think of a man in uniform? Do you think of a woman in uniform? Or do you broaden you horizon? Do you think of people fighting illnesses? Do you think of people fighting Lou Gherigs disease? Do you think of people fighting cancer? Do you think of people fighting hunger? Do you think of people who have lost their lives fighting a battle? Or do you just think of a person in uniform?

When you think of soldiers, how often do you really think about them? When you think of soldiers, do you put a place in your hears, to really care about them> When you think of sodliers, do you think about wanting to help them? when you think of soldiers, what do you really think about?

Watching a movie the other day made me realize, soldiers aren't only people fighting wars with guns, they can be any average person fighting some kind of a battle. And it also made me realize, how often do people really think about soldiers of any sort?
