Cover your windows! Bolt your doors!
There’s a plague on the rise.
It’s highly contagious and extremely dangerous
and it’s growing to a monstrous size
Your view becomes skewed, your mind is destroyed
Common sense is a thing of the past
There is no hope. There is no cure.
Once you catch it you become empty and daft
Carried by the human race and spread by association
Mutated by hashtags, yolos, and swag.
It’s infecting the entire nation
The plague is stupidity and it has always been here
but now that we speak freely and without regret
It festers and grows
It thrives on the internet
It’s morphing and flourishing and coming for you
So cover your windows and bolt your doors
Because stupidity is on the rise
It’s highly contagious and extremely dangerous
and I’ve learned this is the human condition
