I will not be silenced
by their insecurities
and I will not be silenced
by the staus quo
I will not be silenced
by their judging glances
and I will not be silenced
if they tell me 'no'
I will not be silenced
by this ignorant noise
I can not be silenced
because millions have my voice

This was very empowering. If I write powerful poetry you def have a knack for making a person feel powerful. great job.

Fabulous ; )
I wish only for my confidence to exude such a level of pride as articulated in your poem. I feel so inclined to not be silenced: "I can not be silenced."
And yet, I am but a victim of solitude - oppressed by the very truths of my character. Yes, I herald the truths of my constitution while alone, but loathe the glances of doubt I so provoke - fearing their judgement of my normalcy.
Goodness how I ramble....anyway loved your little banner of pride; let not its flagpole falter neath storm nor hail....
Yours in sustenance,
J A T
P.S. - I write of the banner I have folded in my closet and the daunting affects of it gathering dust...feel free to read...I'd love it

The purple horizontal lines reminded me of the movie, Juno. However, the anthem found within was so much more.
Very nice job.
