Ever growing silence,
The deafening sound it makes.
Without the talking of the oak,
Or the screaming of a furnace.
No chatter of the fish,
Or gurgling from the john.
Ever growing silence,
The deafening sound it makes.
With no cooing or crying,
Or whirring or sizzling.
No clinging or clanging,
Or pattering or banging.
Ever growing silence,
The deafening sound it makes!
