The Fallen Angel
She has blue eyes,
That cries a waterfall,
But a smile like the sun,
Her broken heart has yet to mend,
But she loves like no other.
She dreams of stars,
And flies to Neverland at night,
Where the sun and moon collide together,
And her dreams are full of longing innocence,
But her mind lives in reality,
And she drifts like a ghost to another world,
Invisible to society's eye.
And shadows grab her hand and heart,
And speaks lovely words within her ear,
And a shimmering temptation,
Brings relief to the pain,
As red paint spills across her skin,
And she'll fly so high to a shining light,
Filled with dreams and delight,
While leaving the cold world behind,
The angel who could never fly.
