This is a poem that I wrote just last year. I hope you like it, and please comment.

Have you ever seen your best friend dead?

Lying under the brutal sun?

A bullet shot through his head?

Who says war is fun?

Have you ever heard church bells ring,

Or the prayer of a crying nun,

For the brave men who will never again sing?

Who says war is fun?

No matter time or place, it's all the same.

Korean, German, Jap, 'merican, and Hun,

You boys are all part of a sick, sick game.

Who says war is fun?

And after we've collected the dead,

After our battles are good and won,

We say to ourselves, shaking our head,

"Who says war is fun?"
