It was just suppose to be a date

“Shut up.” Natalia was on the bed in an instant and slapped her hard across the face. It stunned her so, that she just looked up and into her eyes. The blonde’s eyes were full of fire. “How in the world did you become the one? How did you become his prized and favorite one?” She started hitting her again.

There was banging on the door behind them. “Amber?”

“HELP!”

Natalia took the knife and stabbed her in the stomach. “DIE BITCH! DIE!”

The door crashed open, the knife came down towards her head and Amber blacked out.

“How is she?”

“The bleeding has stopped. But she is still unconscious. I am not sure how much damage has been done.” The man looked at Ethan. Then he put everything in the bags and tray. “What about the other one? The psycho bitch that did this to her.”

“I have sold her off already.”

“That was quick.” The older man raised his eyebrow. “You didn’t want to punish her for what she did?”

“I was afraid that I would kill her.” Ethan said solemnly. “Can I go sit with her?”

“Yes. I have given her some heavy pain killers to keep her sedated and I have put in an IV to give her antibiotics. I am going to go home right now, but I will be back in the morning to check on her.”

“Thank you, Mr. Black.” Ethan shook the man’s hand and then went into the room to check on Amber. She looked so pale and ethereal on the large bed. He had the doctor and a few of his male slaves put her in his bedroom. It was the first time that he had one of his slaves in his bed. But then again she was different from everyone else. He sat down in a chair by the side of the bed. He took her hand and held it.

“Where am I?”

The young red head was watching over Amber as she slept. “You’re in Master Ethan’s bed, Miss.”

“What…what happened?”

“You were injured.” The young girl had been given specific instructions to not tell Amber what had happened to her for fear of her going into shock.

"How long have I been out?"

"Five days."

Amber tried to sit up and felt the pain in her side. “Ow.”

The young woman picked up the phone and called Ethan to come up. Within a few minutes he was in the room. “Leave us, Molly.”

“Yes, sir.” She left the room and shut the door.

He turned to the brunette on the bed. “It’s great to see you awake.” This face lit up in a smile as he looked at her.

“Natalia?” She asked softly.

“She’s gone.”

“Gone?” Her eyes got wide. “Did you torture her or kill her?”

“No.” His eyes got a little cold. “I sold her off.”

“To who?”

“Someone who will make sure that she is not a danger to herself or someone else. Someone who will make sure that she is controlled.” His voice got cold. “How do you feel?”

“Sore.”

“That is to be expected.” He stood up. “I will have Molly come back up and check on you.”

“Ethan, please don’t be mad.”

He turned and put his face close to hers, “Why not? You thought I would kill her?”

“You believe in torture and pain. I didn’t know what to think, Ethan. You said last night that you loved me and then she attacks me. What am I to think?”

“That I love you so much I would rather sell her off than take the chance of killing her!” He grabbed her softly and kissed her lips. “I am so in love with you, Amber, that I can’t think straight. I could have killed her when we came into the room. She almost stabbed you in the head and killed you.” The dark headed man laid her back on the bed and then went to the dresser. “I bought this for you on our way back from picking you up.”

Ethan returned to the bed and slid the ring on her finger. It was a diamond engagement ring. “I want you to marry me.”

“Ethan?”

“You said you were saving yourself for your husband. I want to be your husband.”

She lay back on the bed and closed her eyes. “This is too much to think about right now.”
