My name is Fahima, i'm fourteen years old, and i have a great passion for writng stories, and poems. I like to stick to the genre of Horror, romance, Family Problems etc. Thinking a couple years back to when i was around 9 to 11 years old, i was a really big fan of Jacqueline Wilson; if it weren't for her then i wouldn't like books as much as i do now. Also thanks to my uncles, they helped me out by buying me many books. When i reached the age of twelve and thirteen (which i am now) i started reading adult novels and teen thrillers, i started to drift away from my "jacqueline Wilson obsession" and started liking all sorts of writers, e.g. Anthony Horowitz, Fannie Flagg, Janet Macleod Trotter, JRR. Tolkien, and had a real interest in J.k. Rowling and her series of Harry Potter.
In school each year, a few students from english classes are asked to take part in "The Redbridge Book Awards". The selected students, have to read a selection of books (childrens and teens), and the ones that get shortlisted are the ones we have to revise and go over. Once we're at the Hawkey Hall, (where the Awards usually take place), we all get asked questions asked about the books we have read and each school is huddled together around a table while they record thier results on a sheet of paper. After that we get to purchase books and get some of them signed; (depending on what authors have attended. I've got the autographs of, Babara Mitchelhill, Eleanor Updale, Cathy Cassidy, Joe Layburn and a few others. ♥♥♥♥♥
