Chapter 2: Friday (12:30 PM) January, 18, 2013 (Los Angeles, California) Louis POV: "That girl, we met days ago, did you know her before or something mate?" I asked him as we were getting ready to go out and surf. "No, Actually we just met..." He said frowning, scratching the back of his neck and grabbing a surf board. I followed and we walked out the door in our beach apparel, Harry in bright green and black vertical stripped trunks, me in read and white horizontal stripped trunks, We were both Shirtless. While, Zayn and Liam were busy trying to persuade there girls to come and have fun with them. I already asked my girl, Eleanor Calder, she was already packing and would be here as soon as she could. We were here specifically on Pleasure, before we were to be touring the world like with our previous 'Up All Night' tour. "All right, Later Niall, you should at least try to have some fun Mate, it's not every day we get two months off, just for fun." I informed a moody Niall who was busy killing things in his game. He nodded his head probably not even hearing a single word I said. I smirked, shook my head and I stepped out of our cool, big beach house. I sighed as the California heat and Sun greeted my skin. I was glad I was keeping my mate Harry company but, that girl he was actually being nervous towards had me thinking, maybe they hadn't known each other before that but they got along very well. "Hey, Lou you want an Icee?" Harry asked me, shades on and hot beach bimbos walking by us in the back round. "Yeah, sure Coke Slurpee..." I said looking out at the water. "Ah, on second thought, let me come with you Mate, not like I have anything better to do." I told him slapping his shoulder in a manly affectionate way. So we headed to the nearest convince store that had Slurpees. Anna's POV: Friday (1:00 PM) January. 18. 2013 (Los Angeles, California) The shop was known for its Icy cold drinks and great Ice cream. "Oh look at you in that sexy little get-up. Are you working or 'working' because I'm ready to buy whatever's your offering." Jake the jerk said as he walked through the door. "You big jerk, your lucky it was your birthday yesterday or else id hit you right now." I teased him as Some little girl tugged on the bottom of my dress and asked which ice cream was better. I felt awkward since I haven't tried any yet and she really looked torn between all of them. I smiled as she led to back to the Ice cream area and looked at the selection. "Well, sweetheart are you allergic to any type of nuts?" I asked her as she peeked at the flavors. "Mmm, no? I don't think so." She said. "Okay, well what is your favorite flavor? Do you like berries?" I asked her thinking that she looked like an Oregon Strawberry type of kid. "Yeah, I like berries." She said. I leaned down and pointed at the pretty light pink ice cream. "Well, then, I suggest, the Oregon Strawberry or Triple Chocolate." I told her also pointing to the multi shaded brown ice cream. "I'd so go for the Rockey-Road ice-cream or the half-baked cookie dough one, but they thats just me!" Jake said and She smiled and looked like she was contemplating it. "I know I'll have a scoop of Chocolate and Cookie dough!" She said figuring out her problem. I shook my head and headed back to my spot. Couple minutes later she was walking by me with a kid cone of Oregon Strawberry and Triple chocolate. "Thank you Anna, have a great day." She said smiling at me as she eagerly ate her ice cream. "Your welcome, have a Jenny-licious day." I told her, still managing my own signature line, that the store is working on Copy writing and trying to use it as a Store Label or whatever. "Ha! I should work here too, you know how much money I'd bring in with just my looks, that girl bought a scoop of ice cream I suggested and a scoop of ice cream you suggested, we'd make a killer combo!" Jake said smirking and leaning against the counter with a bag of Lays Potato chips. Man, he eats the same amount as my Dad, He's a living vacuum. "Thanks, Anna you did very well today, keep it up and you'll have another raise. You are good at this, you barely worked here four days and you were moved up twice." Carl my boss told me. I know, it surprised me too, my shift was finished by 1:00 PM and I was planning on going out and performing on the sidewalk somewhere. I was already back in my normal clothes, Wearing Jean shorts that were frayed at the knees,a White Tank top(Cotton), My Green Day Shoes I wore to work and a Green Plaid button-Up shirt (Not buttoned, left open so my white tank top was seen). "Thank you, see you Monday, Carl." I said smiling and walking out. I went home really quick and grabbed my guitar. After I did that I sat down on a long stretch of cement that was separating the beach from the parking area. "Yay, a street performance, I'll play the guitar, you sing." Jake said as I put my guitar case in front of Jake and I, open, as I prepared myself to street perform. Jake played some practice cords and I tried to figure out which song I was going to sing. "Okay, here we go, Here's: King Of Leon- Use Somebody." *Kings of Leon-Use Somebody*: I've been roaming around, I was looking down at all I see Painted faces fill the places I can't reach You know that I could use somebody You know that I could use somebody Someone like you and all you know and how you speak Countless lovers under cover of the street You know that I could use somebody You know that I could use somebody Someone like you Off in the night while you live it up I'm off to sleep Waging wars to shake the poet and the beat I hope it's gonna make you notice I hope it's gonna make you notice Someone like me, someone like me Someone like me, somebody I'm ready now, I'm ready now I'm ready now, I'm ready now I'm ready now, I'm ready now I'm ready now Someone like you, somebody Someone like you, somebody Someone like you, somebody I've been roaming around, I was looking down at all I see *END of song* I couldn't believe people were gathered round us and were actually tossing some change in my guitar case. I smiled and nodded my thanks at them. I Stood up and Jake started playing "Heres one of my favorites that fits right about now 'Alex Clare-Too Close'." Jake said and started paying the chords. He sang background for me. *Alex Clare-Too Close*: You know I'm not one to break promises I don't want to hurt you but I need to breathe At the end of it all, you're still my best friend But there's something inside that I need to release Which way is right, which way is wrong How do I say that I need to move on You know we're headed separate ways And it feels like I am just too close to love you There's nothing I can really say I can't lie no more, I can't hide no more Got to be true to myself And it feels like I am just too close to love you So I'll be on my way You gave me more that I can return Yet there's so much that you deserve Nothing to say, nothing to do, I've nothing to give I must leave without you You know we're headed separate ways And it feels like I am just too close to love you There's nothing I can really say I can't lie no more, I can't hide no more Got to be true to myself And it feels like I am just too close to love you So I'll be on my way So I'll be on my way And it feels like I am just too close to love you There's nothing that I can really say I can't lie no more, I can't hide no more Got to be true to myself And it feels like I am just too close to love you So I'll be on my way So I'll be on my way So I'll be on my way *END of song* Harry's POV: Friday (1:55 PM) January. 18. 2013 (Los Angeles California) "Whatever, I'm better than that wannabe pop star, she's just a street performer, but that guy with her is hot-Oh hi Harry and Louis." A girl with Dishwater blond hair said to Louis and I flirtatiously. Louis elbowed me and had a cheeky grin on his face. I don't know what was going through that mind of his but I know what was on my mind, this girl who was 'just a street performer'. "Hi, who's this girl you're talking about, yeah?" I asked the Blond pair as I fingered a strand of her hair to try and sweeten her up. "Oh, she's nobody, but maybe-" "Just a girl who's singing by the beach, close to here." Her friend said trying to get closer to me. I paid for my drink and headed out of the 'Jenny's Sea Side Bar', looked around, took a drink of my Coke Slurpee and walked some more. "Harry, Mate, what is wrong with you, one of them would've made a great gal." Louis said handing me their numbers. "Thanks, but I much prefer a girl who isn't as easy to get as a phone book." I said frowning, pocketing their numbers and finally found the street performer...I think. I mean it had to be the girl, with the crowd and clapping. "Why is this so important to you?" Louis asked me sounding sort of annoyed. "Because I used to be a street performer and in a band. I tried my hardest to become known, I remember how it felt being where this girl might be. It's just important I don't really know how to explain it Louis." I told him as we reached the group and her back was to me. "Okay, here's-'My Paper Heart By All American Rejects' Enjoy!" Some guy said and the girl broke into the song as the guy with dark skin played the chords. *All American Rejects- My Paper Heart*: Please just don't play with me My paper heart will bleed This wait for destiny won't do Be with me please I beseech you Simple things, that make you run away Catch you if I can Tears fall, down your face The taste, is something new Something that I know moving on is, Easiest when I am around you. So bottle up old love, And throw it out to sea, Watch it away as you cry A year has passed The seasons go Please just don't play with me My paper heart will bleed This wait for destiny won't do Be with me please I beseech you Simple things, that make you run away Catch you if I can Waiting, day to day it goes through My lips, are sealed for her My tongue is, Tied to, a dream of being with you To settle for less, is not what I prefer So bottle up old love, And throw it out to sea, Watch it away as you cry A year has passed The seasons go Please just don't play with me My paper heart will bleed This wait for destiny won't do Be with me please I beseech you Simple things, that make you run away Catch you if I can Summer time, the nights are so long The leaves fall down, and so do I into the arms of a friend Winter nights My bedside is cold, for I am gone And spring blossoms you to me Summer time, the nights they are so long The leaves fall down, and so do I into the arms of a friend Winter nights My bedside is cold, for I am gone And spring blossoms you to me *END of song* I tried to peek through the crowd when her song came to an end, but she was packing and was talking to one of the people. I could vaguely see she was crouched down, putting her guitar away, When She stood I could see her, she had long legs and long dark brown hair that went to her waist. She had on make up that made her look like an angel. She was leaving with that guy and I didn't even get her name, but I couldn't get myself to move. "Well, we came, we saw and we sort of conquered. So can we please go surfing now Mate?" Louis asked. I frowned she was gone and I hadn't done anything to stop her. I guess there wasn't anything to do but go surf. "Hey, Who was that?" I asked a surfer dude who was part of her dissipating group. "That, was the 'Angel of Music ' and she's here everyday same time, same place always playing Three songs and leaving with a smile. That girl loves her music, though she does look like that girl who works at 'Jenny's Sea Side Bar' Later man." the guy Said smiling and walking away. "Wait! What time everyday?" I asked him. "One thirty in the after noon man, till two in the afternoon." He said and walked down to the beach. "Great, I know that look, your not going to Give up on this chick that they call 'Angel of music' till you figure out who she is and what she sounds like. Can we please go surf now-" His cell rang and when he pulled it out to look he looked frustrated. "Yeah, Liam?" He said irritatedly into the phone. "All right, I'll rent the house next door for the girls...No not yet, Harry here was on a mission for a drink and after that it was for some chick." Louis said, wondering towards the shore and me following him but hanging back enough to where he had some privacy. Though it didn't sound like he needed it since he was sort of complaining about me. "Yeah, all right, No I'll tell you about it at dinner, all right talk to you later mate." Louis said hanging up and shoving the phone into his pocket. "Well dinner with them at about five so we have...oh two hours of surfing." Louis said running into the water. Fine, I'll look for the girl tomorrow. Marie's POV: Friday (2:32 PM) January. 18. 2013 (Los Angeles, California) I fell back on my bed and Thought about my day. It's only just now two thirty in the afternoon, it's California, I can go surfing, swimming, sit back read a book or watch a movie. Mmm...I may need reading material before I can sit back and read a book, I guess I should gather my money and see if I can get a book. I opened my guitar case, pulled my guitar out and grabbed all the money I earned from street performing. I sat back and counted it...$56.37 pretty darn good, added from my other street performances. Collectively I had $237.50, I couldn't believe I earned that much in five days. I smiled and held the money to my chest. "Please tell me you aren't selling drugs." My sister said arms crossed leaning against the door frame into my room. "Yeah right, I got this from Street performing, not only do I get to do what love, I earn good money while I do it and I can't get in trouble." I said putting the money I earned into my wallet. "Well, that's nice sis, what's the point aside from earning the money?" She asked me arms still crossed. "I dunno, maybe buy some books, get dinner, go see a movie? I don't have a clue yet." I said frowning. "All right, as long as theres no drugs or drinking." She said waving at me and sauntering off to somewhere in her home. I grabbed my phone and looked at my make-up. Good, I still have on my make-up that I wore while I street performed. It wasn't really necessary to not be known but it was fun to me, but it did give me a rather cool street name 'Angel of Music' and I had to say, it was pretty cool that I had a street name. Jake was watching TV when I grabbed his wrist and pulled him out the door with me. "Whoa! Where's the fire?" Jake asked as he kept up with me as I fast walked to the one place I could always go to. I couldn't help myself, I needed to perform again, I had felt it when I got home, so I went to our Uncle's Restaurant 'Titanium Express'. Yeah, I told him it didn't sound like the name a Restaurant would have but he did have lots of people who came here so he didn't have to convince me much on the name of the restaurant. "Hey, Uncle Jesse, I'm here and ready for fun and work." I said walking in through the kitchen entrance, with Jake hot on my tail. Grabbing an apron and tying it at the waist, It was only three o'clock, I was two hours early for my shift, yeah I know I complained earlier about working but I confess I'm a work o'holic! "Not with that junk on your face, look more natural and not like you just came from a music video and I'll put you to work even if your earlier than I thought you to be." My uncle commanded. Yeah, he hated that I wore all this make-up, though it was just eye shadow, mascara, eye liner, some proactive make-up to cover up any pimples and some LipTini lip gloss over my natural Rosen colored lips. I shook my head and side hugged him. "Sorry, Uncle J, I like my make-up and I'll be on the floor. Jake why don't you do whatever you want, I'll be busy." I said stepping away from him and grabbing a note pad so I could take orders. Four thirty and people were already asking me to get up on the stage as I danced between the tables and made sure our customers were happy. "Come on Anna-Honey, get up there, you belong up there." Abigail told me with that thick Louisiana accent, she was Black and had a voice to match her boisterous attitude. "I know, thank you Gail and don't you worry, I'll be up there just as soon as all my Uncles customers are happy." I said quickly hugging her and checking on a table near her. "Are y'all happy customers?" She got up and asked everyone here. There were a lot of head nodding and murmurs of "Yeah of course." So Abigail, placed a hand on her Hip and gave me a look that said 'Well, then get up there.' "Well, you all wanna here Lil Miss Anna sing?" She asked motioning to me. "Yeah!" "Whoo!" "Get up there!" we're the answers of Uncle J's customer. I smiled, shook my head, looked back at my Uncle's Office, that was right next to the stage. He was leaning on his office entrance door frame, he looked at me, smirked and nodded 'Yes, go ahead you know you want to.' I looked at Jake who was helping out too, because he didn't have anything else to do, he nodded at me to. I smiled, set my stuff down by the order area and made my way up to the stage. When I stepped on stage, the band got ready and I stepped up to the microphone. I turned back to the band. "All right, do you guys know, 'Avril Lavigne-Freak Out'?" I asked them and they all looked at each other, then nodded eagerly. "All right, then here we go." I said as I turned back to face everyone, Out of the corner of my eye I saw my Uncle helping a group of people to a table but, I couldn't see who or what gender, because they chose that moment to spotlight me, thus leading to shielding my eye's. "All right, All right, Give it up for our little 'Angel of Music' Anna Maria Knight!" Ty introduced me and my street name. I smiled, shook my head, I vaguely heard him exit the stage as I closed my eyes to get to my zone and when I opened them, the band started into the song. *Avril Lavigne-Freak Out*: Try to tell me what I shouldn't do You should know by now, I won't listen to you Walk around with my hands up in the air 'Cause I don't care 'Cause I'm alright I'm fine Just freak out let it go I'm gonna live my life I can't ever run and hide, I won't compromise 'cause I'll never know I'm gonna close my eyes I can't watch the time go by I won't keep it inside Freak out let it go Just freak out let it go Do you always have to do everything right Stand up for yourself And put up a fight Walk around with your hands up in the air Like you don't care 'Cause I'm alright I'm fine Just freak out let it go I'm gonna live my life I can't ever run and hide I won't compromise cause I'll never know I'm gonna close my eyes I can't watch the time go by I won't keep it inside Freak out let it go On my own Let it go Yeah yeah yeah Just let me live my life I can't ever run and hide I won't compromise 'cause I'll never know I'm gonna close my eyes I can't watch the time go by I won't keep it inside Freak out let it go Just freak out let it go Gonna freak out let it go *END of song* I smiled as I finished the song and everyone clapped, Whistled and cheered. I heard, Jake out of all the people though, I blushed, bowed and swept my hand to the band. I stepped back to the microphone. "Thank you Ty for the intro, you big jerk. For those of you that don't know me, I prefer to go by Maria and thank you for listening, enjoy your meals. For those of you just now joining us, Welcome to Titanium Express, where we feed you food on Titanium plates and as fast as we can get it to you and remember if it's not on Titanium, then your not at 'Titanium Express', thank you, enjoy your meals." I said, doing my Uncle's motto and slogan. I stepped off stage and was scooped into my Uncle Jesse's Bear hug. "Uncle...J...can't...breath!" I gasped out the last part because I seriously couldn't breath. "Jesse, what did I tell you about killing our niece?" Sara my Uncle's wife chastised, also my Aunt, though I was still not quite breathing. "That I'm not supposed to hug her like one of the guys." He said sounding deflated, good now let me go! I. Can't. Breath! "All right, now if you'd let her go, then she may still have a chance of returning to her normal color." Aunt Sara said leaning on an empty table. Thank you, finally! Uncle Jesse let me go and I was leaning against the wall close to the stage gasping for breath. "But, Sara, she sounded so amazing, I didn't know how else to congratulate her!" He said in his defense. "Excuse me, Anna you-Your 'The Angel of Music'?" An all to familiar voice asked me, shit you gotta be kidding me, Harry! "You-Seriously-" I said barely getting those words out before the world started to swirl away. "Anna-Banna!" I heard Jake before everything went completely black.
