By 7:00 am my hair was blond and drying. I kept starring at myself in the mirror. I couldn't believe it was me, am I ever going to be able to get use to my new hair color? I wondered. Since my hair was still wet I ran my hand through it, making it stand up straight. I laughed at my self. I walked out of the bathroom and saw myself again in the hallway mirror hanging on the wall. Out of a quick glance I instantly thought "I look so hot" I smirked. I walked downstairs and smiled to Kara. She laughed at me and starred.
"I knew you were stuiped, but come on! Even you can't be that stuiped!" she laughed and pointed at my hair. If I had ears like a dog they would be against my head. I thought randomly.
"whats your problem?" I asked giving a fake smile.
"oh, you know... I'm only laughing at the BIG Brown spot of hair you left on the back of your head! You didn't even touch it with the dye did you" she laughed again holding her stomach.
"what!" I grabbed for the hair on the back of my head. When I realized she hasn't even saw the back of my head yet I gave her a glare and she ran upstairs giggling. Someone woke up on the weird side of the bed. I thought checking the mirror in the downstairs bathroom just in case. I sighed when I saw no brown hair. I also rolled my eyes. How can she laugh like that at something that's not even there? I wondered getting breakfast in the kitchen.
after breakfast I started to go outside when my mom came down the stairs slowly.
"how are you feeling?" I asked she starred at me for a couple seconds.
"who the hell are you?" she asked. I thought she was kidding at first but she wasn't.
"Kevin..." I said still ready for her to laugh. "I dyed my hair...mom, come on you can't be that sick." she still starred at me.
"go to your room" she said with out warning and she walked slowly to the kitchen. I starred at her. Why does she want me to go to my room? I wondered slowly walked towards the stairs. I walked in and sat down on the bed and starred at Kara who was reading a book on her mattress under the tv. She smiled at me. I rolled my eyes.
"figure it out?" she asked with a permanent smile on her face. I nod ashamed I even believed her little joke. I looked at the window and looked back at her.
"common let's go outside." I said. She frowned.
"and do what? The government is watching us like a owl and a mouse. We can't do anything sacred." she said turning to her book.
"show me." I said with curiosity.
"show you what?" she shot back.
"how you walked up that tree back when we were fighting." I said still starring at her. She slammed her book closed annoyed.
"show me how you could hold my sphere." she said raising an eyebrow. I shrugged.
"I just put my hand out and fought it like a foot ball." I said.
"how do you create your shield thing?" she asked standing up. I got off the bed and held my hand out to her. She watched me as she grabbed it. I enveloped us with my shield.
"I can't believe I can't faze through it" she said touching it.
"mabe, we're... Like stronger together. Like wouldn't that be cool if we could combine our abilities?" I said, fantasizing. She laughed.
"yea it would, want to try it?" she asked.
"not in the house." I pulled her towards the window.
"if you can catch my sphere, mabe you can do other things like me... Like walking on the side of buildings." she said jumping on the window seal. She put her foot flat against the outside brick wall and then the other standing completely sideways on the house waiting for me.
"grab my hand." she said. She bent down and reached throught the window for me. I grabbed it and also jumped on the window seal.
"try to feel the power" she said closing her eyes peacefully. I relaxed and let her energy flow through my body like a little creek with running water in it going down hill. It soon over took me and my mind. This was incredible, I've never felt this kind of power. I thought.
"I can feel it." I said smiling.
"try stepping out here." she said. I place my foot flat against the outside wall balancing my self with my free hand against the window seal. I sat down and placed my other foot out. I sighed making sure I was ready and let go of the window seal. I was instantly turned side ways. I wasnt falling! I looked around in astonishment. I could feel the gravitational pull pulling me towards the grass below me but I could also feel something pushing me against the side of the house so I wouldn't fall. I gazed in amazement and so did Kara.
"wow" I managed to speak out loud. She let go of my
hand suddenly and I fell from the wall. I cought my self, inches from hitting the ground. I turned to her still in mid air.
"what the hell Kara?" I asked. She made me so mad. If I didn't catch my self when I did I probabley would have broken my nose or something.
"I knew you would catch your self I'm not that stuiped." she said as I lifted my self up to her on the wall. She gave me a smile and I rolled my eyes pulling her away from the wall. Her feet left the wall and her bodie instantly went down. I didn't let go of her hands yet I lifted us up. Some how, I wasn't struggling as much as I was During our last fight. I lifted us up over the tree tops and she freaked out.
"put me down!" she shrieked. I laughed a little.
"if I can use your abilities while holding on to you, mabe you can use mine." I lifted her up so we were looking eye to eye. She sighed.
"way up here?" she asked looking down again. I gave a nod. She griped my hand so tight it hurt. She wasn't going to fall, either way if she was holding onto me or not I still had a grip onto her. She closed her eyes and I felt like she took my abilities away. This weakened me a little. I didn't fall but it was getting hard to hold us both up. I put my finger to my right temple and closed my eyes trying not to let us fall. Suddenly I noticed she got a lot lighter. I opened my eyes and looked at her.
"I want to see if I can do it." she said waiting for me. I sighed and let the mental grip on her go. She instantaly started falling and Icouldnt hold her up. I concentrated on me and she just held onto my hand. She slipped from my fingers and grabbed my leg at the last second. A huge weight was forced onto it and I couldn't hold us up. I let go of my mental grip on me and we fell...faster. I spread my blue shield around us and held onto her. She screamed in my ear so loud I think she was siren. We hit the ground. She crushed me under her weight and I was instantly knocked out. I might of had the shield around me but somehow I still got hurt. The shield went down into thin air and the last thing I herd was her screaming my name.
