Unnatural abilities

I woke up to someone shaking me like crazy. I opened my eyes slightly and saw Kara. I instantly raised up.
"where were you!" I almost yelled. She backed up startled.

"it doesn't matter.... Where's your mom?" she asked watching me.

"hospital, she's sick she told me to call I'm going there right now." I said standing up. I walked up the stairs and into my room. That when I noticed how messed up my blonde hair was. I laughed at my self and ran my fingers through it. I quickly changed my clothes and hurried down stairs. "ok, I will be back with my mom stay here." I said stepping to the door. "don't tell me what to do." she shot back turning to the fridge. I rolled my eyes and used my speed to get to the hospital quickly. I appeared in the woods and walked out cautiously. I started walking to the front doors. I was stopped when I saw Matt hanging out near them. He was watching some pregnant ladie trying to get out of a car. He laughed. I rolled my eyes and remembered my hair color.

Changing your hair color doesn't make you look much different. He would still know who I was probably. I walked my head down to get by him, remembering my mom was here it gave me courage and if Matt tried to stop me I'd pound his face in. I smirked at the thought and his attention suddenly turned to me walking by him. He just watched lucky for him. I made my way to the main office and someone different was at the desk. I asked for my moms room and he gave it to me. I walked quickly. Before I walked into the room a nurse stopped me. She has a mask on her face.

"can't go in there with out one of these on." she said handing me one. I dropped it to the ground a reached for the handle. She grabbed my wrist and gave the mask back to me. "I said you can't go in there with out a mask on." she said again a little frustrated.

"I've been living with her ever since she got sick! I was with her this morning at three am! I didn't have to wear a mask then why should I wear it now?" I said drawing attention to us. She sighed and put the mask on me Anyways. She opened the door with a card and let me. I instantly took it off once the door shut and threw it at the trash can barley missing. I looked over there was my mom. She had a breathing mask on connected with a air tube. Her eyes were closed and she had an Iv in both of her arms. I instantly thought
`is she dead?` I walked to the bed and grabbed her hand.

"mom?" I asked she didn't move. "mom, wake up." I said shaking her a little. Her eyes opened but barley. She looked at me and smiled weakly. She squeezed my hand a little even weaker than her smile.

"it hurts" she said motioning to the Iv in her arm. I nod knowing that there was nothing I could do about it. I looked at the beeping machine behind her near the wall. I knew what it was. It was showing her heart beat. It was slow and not very steady. I sighed.

two hours later.

I smiled at her.
"love you" I said. she Took a deep breath. "love you...." her hand suddenly raised her to her chest quickly. The beeping on the wall stopped and made a annoying "errrrrrrrrrrrrrr" sound. I quickly backed away from her. It was like I was watching a movie. With in seconds there were five other people in there. One grabbed my arm and tried to pulled me out the door way. A tear came down my cheek. I felt the room shaking. The person pulled me so hard I almost fell over. I shoved her away and made my way to the bed. I felt that if I could just reach her and hug her the beeping sound would come back on the machine. The people in the room were obviously doctors and the woman that reached for me again was the same nurse that tried to put that stupid mask on me. I almost got to her when I was suddenly picked up and carried. They slung me over their shoulder and walked to the door. I pounded on their back not thinking about how easily it really would be to get out of their arms. They carried me out and put me down in the hall way.

There was a wheel chair in the hallway and it started shaking and it moved all across the hallway. Everything started shaking and soon a picture frame was herd falling off the wall and shattering. The walls shook, the floor shook. Even the people in the hall way had trouble standing. I held my arms down at my side and my hands made a very tight fist which hurt but I didn't care. I had my head down and my eyes closed, tears streaming down my cheeks. I suddenly looked up at the woman in front of me. The man looked into my eyes suddenly and gasped. Yet she didn't move.

"Kid..." She said stuttering a little as she did. "Help! somebody get this boy some medical attention!" She screamed. I turned my gaze to the people running to me. I got down on one knee and put her hand on my shoulder. "Close your eyes son, try not to move them." I didn't do as she said. Everything around me just shook even worse. I didn't even feel my power started to struggle. It just kept getting stronger and stronger. The woman actually fell over all most things shook so bad.

I suddenly herd someone call my name.
"Kevin!" I turned to my left to see Todd running to me. He struggled to run towards me. Once he reached me he was out of breath. "Kevin, stop this. Why are you here? Get out of here before you hurt these people..." Im sure there was more but when he saw me crying he stopped and starred at the door in front of me. "Kevin?" He asked in unusion. "Your eyes... their red again! Kevin, stop! calm down!" He said patting me on the back. I couldn't calm down, my mom was probably dead and he want me to calm down? He got down on all fours so he wouldn't fall. I took a deep breath.

"Todd.... my mom, she... flat lined." I said holding my hands to the door. It flew into the room right off its hinges. It didn't hit anybody. I didn't even go into the room I just stood their staring. Waiting. I herd one of the doctors say.

"Time of death nine twenty nine am." I saw them put their machines away. The room wasn't shaking just everything else. I fell to my knee's and things stopped shaking around me. I couldn't explain how I felt, my mom... she's gone. What do I do now? Do I just stay here like an idiot? Do I go home? What's at home? What will happen to me and Kara? Things like this ran through my head faster than usual.

I turned to Todd. "come on." he said pulling me up. I followed him down the hall way like a puppy. I didn't care where we were going I just wanted out of here. He led me out of the building and to the front parking lot. As we walked to the woods a hand clamped down onto Todd's shoulder not letting him move.

"it's about time... You made me wait two f-ing hours out here! Just to beat you two up! Your going to be in the hospital by the time I'm done with you." I knew it was Matt. He put another hand on my shoulder. I put my head down. And raised my hand to his chest. He didn't move. I forced him backwards with my mind. His feat came out in front of him and he slammed against the concrete wall of the hospital. He stood for a few seconds then dropped to his knees. His mouth was open and his eyes where huge. He then fell forward onto the pavement not making any motion to stop himself from falling. I continued to walk with Todd. We walked to my house which took a while since I didn't feel like running. We walked through the back door of my house and Kara shot up off the couch like she was ready to attack us. When she saw my tear stained cheeks she softened and ran to me.

"what happened?" she asked.

"your mom... Died." Todd answered for me. Kara instantly shot a look to Todd.

"she wasn't my mom stupid she was his." she said instantly. She sighed loudly and pushed Todd to the door making him go home. I sat down on the couch weakly and let my self fall over into the pillow. It was warm meaning Kara was laying on it before me. She just starred at me. "come on let's go for a walk.... Far away from here." she said grabbing my hand she pulled me up. "come on, run." she said. She grabbed my arm. I didn't care, I ran and pulled her with me. I don't know where I ran to, just a couple towns over to `Fainit` we walked through the back streets making sure to keep away from the main roads.

We didn't even talk, we just walked. We walked down a road where there was only two buildings on it. One was at the end of the street and one looked like and abandoned factory or something, the windows were broken and a medal front door was crooked. A sign in front of it said "demolition starts June fifth." That's a week after summer break starts. Kara smiled and pointed to it. I shook my head no but she drug me to the door anyway. She kicked it and it opened easily.

"could have just checked to see if it was unlocked" I said walking in. When you walked into the doorway. There was a big room in front of you. On the right of it was tables upon tables filled with old looking lab equipment. I walked over, curious. There was jars, test tubes, and tones of other stuff. None of them had anything in them. I looked across the room to see a small round table, and door, and a couple of open crates lined the wall. I walked to the door and opened it. The first thing I noticed was the metal floors that looked like vents. If you walked on it barefoot it would hurt your feet. When you walked into the room there was no windows or anything just one empty room. There use to be something to the left of the door but you couldn't tell what it was.

There was yet another door on the other side of this room. I walked to it and pulled the handle. It was locked. I unlocked it and opened it. When I walked into the room Kara came up behind me. There was old furniture in there, There was two old cribs that were wooden and splintered. There was old toys and such in the far side of the room. Kara just starred in wonder.
"wow.... Wonder what his factory was making" she said touching one of the cribs. "ya know.... This kinda looks like a dream I had a while back. I can't remember it very well but it was first when you brought me home with you." said touching the door. "yea..... This was it..." she was thinking, I could tell by her facial expression. "thoughs cribs... They were against this wall instead of over there. They held two cribs and some woman.... She picked one up." she sat down on the metal floor. "there were men playing poker back in the other room. The woman had run through the door at the front of the building and I think she ran to that house at the end of the road." she slammed her hands against her head, probably trying to remember that crazy dream she had. "yea... A woman opened the door and invited her in. She called the cops and they came soon after to get the babies but were shot and the two babies were stolen and went separate ways. I woke up after that." she sighed.

"this is weird" I said looking back at the cribs. "come on let's go, this is stupid." I said dragging her through the door. She quickly got up off the door. "what's your problem! You could have asked me to get up and walked out. Like, it's metal flooring for Pete's sake! It hurts when you drag people on it!" she screamed.

"you shut up! My mom just died and you treat me like everything is normal! You think you know everything about this place and you don't. So you had a dream! You can't even remember it mostly! It probably wasn't even of this place! This place has only been here for about twelve years and you've been Europe the entire time!" I screamed a tear fell down my cheeks. Things started shaking but not like they usually do. She backed up a step or two.

"if it wasn't real then let's go visit the woman in that house up the street!" she yelled. I sighed.

"fine" it wasn't like I had anything better to do. I followed her to the main big room and walked out side. I tried to shut the door but it was hopeless. I just left it open and we walked down the street. There was no cars and no people around except one white little van in the drive of the house Kara claims was in her dream. She knocked on the door and a shaky woman opened. Lucky guess I thought.

"do I know you?" she asked politely opening the door all the way. I shook my head no.

"do you know what happened in that factory down the road?" Kara asked quickly. She shrugged.

"it was a science lab about eleven or twelve years ago. After the police found out they were experimenting on humans they were quickly shut down or something." she said.

"how did they find out?" Kara asked her suspiciously.

"Kara your wasting your time she doesn't know crap." I said grabbing her arm and I started to pull her away but was quickly stopped.

"wait, there was a woman that came here, she claimed she was held there. Maybe she can tell you something about it. She is actually the one to tell police what was going on in that factory. She is actually one of my friends. We haven't talked for a while but I think I have her number somewhere come on in and sit down here. I hope your parents don't mind you being here" she brought us in and motioned to the couch while she went into the kitchen. I herd her going through things in the kitchen cabinets. I just sat there and starred at the turned off tv in front of me. I herd her walk in and I turned around. She had a phone to her ear and was over looking a piece of paper.

"oh, hey tonya...
Yea I know it been a while and stuff but I have to tell you something. I have two kids here at my house asking about that factory down the street that is up for demolition.......
Yea I know do you think they could come over and talk to you?.....
Ok I will drive them over, be there in fifty minuets." she hung up and went back into the kitchen. I herd her grab some keys off the counter and she walked back in.

"thanks for helping us." Kara immediately said standing up. I sighed loudly and followed close behind with my head down.
