CHAPTER ONE:
All rights of twilight characters used in this book go to the Stephanie Meyers. The main character is one I made up. And any other non-twilight characters are mine unless I say they're not.

Hey guys! This is my first twilight fanfic! I tried writing my other books but I'm in such a twilight mood! :D I know this chapter is short but it’s the first one. Please vote or comment telling me how it is. This is in the watty awards, support me? Thanks:)<3 and seriously comment.

I'm running through the woods as fast as I can. My legs feel like they are going to run until thereis no more ground underneath me. My breathingis getting heavy andnot surprised, I startedto pant. I looked behind me and saw nothing. Only tall brown trees with a load of dark green leaves hanging from its branches. The heavy air around everything. I am running from something. I don't know what it is, but I'm running from it. I felt something near me and just took off.If it's still chasing me, I have no idea.

I ran down a hill and kept going. It feels as if there is no end to this dark forest. All I can see is dark tall trees, light green moss and dirt everywhere I look. I feel like I have runforever and my legs can’t hold on much longer, yet if I were to try to stop, I wouldn't be able to. Their on auto-pilot.

The sky iscloudy and I swear it will be raining very soon if not already and the trees are just catching all the raindrops. The temperature isreally cold and my skin feels like it could freeze up like an icicle at any second. It's only November but yet, the weather seems to be a bit colder this year. The weather this year has been crazy weird. Not only the weather, but events. Everything just seems off this year.

We've gotten a lot more rain than we should have which is bad. If you were me, getting a lot of rain isa bad thing. It pretty much washes away everything you have when you’re livingin any earth made cave orany huge tree.Everything you own on the ground gets ruined and the only clothes you were allowed to bring from home got ruined and dirty. I have gotten better at keeping care of my things though. Clever.A few tree stumps suddenly popped into my path and I just over them andnoticed some light near the end of the woods. The end. Finally. I ran towards it quickly. I jumpedout of the woods and I landed into a big open field.

The grass seemed dead andmade a crunchy sound when I moved. It looked as if rain hasn't fallen on it in a year. But everywhere else seems to show signs of rain. It's a bit weak.I looked up quickly, feeling eyes on and saweight faces looking right at mewith curiosity. I just looked back. What are they looking at? Haven't they ever seen agirl before?

I stood up more straightly and let my curly blond hair fall over my eyes. I noticed theirskin were pale. They looked like stone people.Hard and waxy. I have never seen someone likethis. One of them looked kind of like a pixie. She was wearing skinny jeans, a cute button up white shirt that said something in blue letters that I couldn't read and had spiky reddish-black hair.

The one next to her was another girl. She had long blond hair, clearly natural. It was beautiful. Flawless. She looked really tall. She reminded me of a big Barbie. Her face structure, much like the last girl, was sharp, maybe a bit more. She wore white jean pants and a plain whiteshirt. She would be prettier if she didn't have a death glare at me. Why shes glaring at me? I have no idea.

I looked next to her to see a guy that looked kind of like her but clearly not. He had short dirty blond hair that had abit of a curl style to it.He was just staring at me like he was in pain. Both physical and emotional. He looked scrawny but for some reason I knew he was strong. Very strong. He was wearing some jeans and a shirt. His kind of looks like a freak.

Across from them were five other people. Three guys and two girls. One of the guys had bright blond hair that was almost white. He was actually kind of cute but looked to be about 20 unlike the rest that looked about my age which is 17. He was wearing a light white sweater and some pants made of a fabric I didn't recognize. He didn't seem that tall, but he seemed like the serious type. The leader of all of them. He looked at me with curiosity but showed a smile.

The girl next to him had long natural looking orange hair. The color you could easily get out of a bottle. But it just looks so real on her, pretty. She was smiling a little at me too which I didn't give back. Not to be mean or anything,I'm just not in a smily mood now. No one in my place would be. I noticed she was wearing a light purple sweater and some comfy looking jeans.
She looked very casually. Normal. She looked to bealso in the 20's. 21 maybe.

The guy next to her was staring at me intensely. He had auburn colored messy hair and was wearing darkjeans and a black shirt. He looked like the serious type also. The oldest one possibly, other than the twoprevious ones.He was holding hands with the girl next to him. She had long chocolate-brown hair and was wearing a dark skin-tightblue shirtand a pair of lightjeans.

The guy next to her had short black hair and was chubby but looked really strong.Hisstomach looked more like a rock than fat. I know never to mess with him, though he doesn't seem like the type to harm anyone. You can read it in his face. His eyes. They all had golden eyes. What would make you have golden eyes? Contacts? But seriously, could all of them need contacts? Why would they choose golden eye contacts though? That's not freaky at all...

I looked around not knowing what to do. No way am I going back into the forest, but I'm not going to talk to them. I just turned slightly and started walking the edge of the field. Not going near them, but not entering thewoods again. I felt their eyes on me and it was an overwhelming feeling. They had such burning stares. Every single pair of eyes were on me. All staring without a blink.

My blue eyes just looked down as I watched my feet walk straightly. My blue sneakers crushing the grass it stepped on. My stomach growled loudly, startling me. I haven't eaten in at least a week. That's as long as I been here at least. I think I'm in Forks, Washington but I can’t be sure. It just seems like the type of place. Rainy and dull. I think I remember my dad saying something about Forks, Washington. And about my dad, he just dropped me off here. He's the reason im all alone here.

He said he didn't want me anymore. Said, that without mom, it was useless having me around. You know I really loved him and I thought he loved me too, but I guess that was all fake, just so mom would be happy. My mom died only 2 months ago. An awful fire started at my house in Oklahoma and she was killed in it. Of course my dad wasn't home but I was.

I got out but my mom didn't and ever since that day, he regrets having me. He blames me for her death. He would always say if you could save yourself, why couldn't you save her? I guess I'm just too much of a disappointment to him now. Useless girl that he wants nothing to do with now. When he told me this, I couldn't belive him. For some reason I didn't but I was too hurt to question him. If he didn't mean it, why would he say it, right? His words just hit me horribly. They broke me down. They shattered what was left of me.

I frowned as I looked back up a bit, shaking the memories away. I looked towards the people in the field and saw they were still watching me. I noticed the one with auburn colored hair was frowning deeply at me. I just looked away and continued walking. I saw a path with about three cars on it that would take me out of this field and the forest. I quickened up my pace and started for it.

I didn't run, my legs were way too tired for that, but I did walk. I walked fast. Just as I was about to turn the corner something jumped on me. I screamed closing my eyes in shock. It felt hairy and strong. "Oh my god! Get it off me!" I screamed opening my eyes as I tried to shove the thing away. I noticed it was a bear. It was really big. Its razor-sharp teeth were biting at me. Its brown eyes looked angry. Its claws were clawing at me. On went right into my arm and I screamed as my arm started to throb. Then its claws ripped my skin in various places, causing pain to rumble through me immediately.

Suddenly everyone was over ,fighting the bear with amazing speed and strength. My eyes just hung there watching them as I stopped fighting the animal. I couldn't believe it. I haven't seen anything like this before. They were incredible fast and strong. All the sudden the oldest looking guy came over to me. He looked worried and shocked.
"It's going to be ok. I'm a doctor," He said quickly as he looked at my dozen cuts. His voice was smooth and gentle. It sounded almost soft but loud at the same time. It sounded different. He touched my arm slightly and I shivered.

His hand was so cold and hard. It even felt like stone, not only looked. I just looked around not knowing what to do. I looked over at the bear to see it laying down on the ground dead. The people were now just staring at me.

"Carlisle, is she alright?" the pixie looking girl asked the guy next to me. It looked as if she wanted to come over but couldn't because she was holding on tight to the guy I thought looked like a freak. A stinging sensation suddenly ran through my body. My head started to thump. It must have hit the ground when i fell and I didn't notice because I was too worried about the bear that just suddenly jumped me. I groaned as my vision began to get blurry.

What is happening?! Why is my vision going blurry?! Was the bear what was following me? A bear?! I thought they weren't hunters? Never did I ever think I'd get attacked by a bear. Everything I thought couldn't happen so far, has. Carlisle was saying something, but I couldn't make any of it out. I couldn't see anything now, the world was gone.

I took deep breaths as I grabbed the guy’s hand. I have no idea why I did, but I did.I needed to know someone was there. I just had to because my heart started to beat furiously and I felt like screaming, but I couldn't. I began to get sleepy and my head tipped over on to its side involuntarily

I fell asleep right there on the ground holding a guyshand who I don't even know , a dead bear not far from me who attacked me and seven other strangers staring at me. I have no idea where I'm going to wake up though. I hope it’s not a hospital; If they were to find out my place, everything would fall apart. By everything, I mean the little I have. If they found out im on my own, and I was abandonedby my father, they would force me into a homeI really don't want to be in. Can't be in. For once, I hope these strangers bring me to their home, I can escape there far better than a hospital. Or a police station.
