Chapter 2

*Still Jasper's P.O.V*

As we went outside I suddenly felt confused. I knew my gift might affect this girl, so I decided to let go of her, she might feel confused, I don't affect her angelic mood for my weird gift.

As I was about to move my hand, her grip suddenly tightened around my hand. This made me confused even more.

"Calm down, Jasper. It's alright if your gift affects me, it doesn't matter." She said. Her back was on me. But wait, she just called me by my name. How'd she know that? And about my gift too? This is getting pretty strange. I wonder what I should do.

Then, she turned around to get a good look at me, "Jasper, it's alright. I'll explain everything to you on the train"

"Train?" I asked, perplexed.

"We're going to Canada" She replied.

"Miss-"I wanted to say something. But she cut me off.

"Alice. Please call me Alice Jasper" she said.

"Alright then Alice, where are going? What station do you propose for us to go?" I asked.

But as I said it, I heard a roar of a train, and the ear-splitting sound of the train on the rails.

Alice giggled. "You see, where here"

I just looked at her, dumb-struck. She was pretty amazing for own way.

That must her talent or something. Hmmm…Speaking of talent, how did she know mine?

But before I could say or do anything Alice pulled me towards the train station.

"Jasper! Hurry up! We need to catch up with the bus!" She yelled while pulling herder.

As we stopped, Alice went in front of the counter to get our tickets, I saw the man selling the tickets' eyes bugged out when Alice came to his view. I could feel lust growing inside him. I automatically put my arms around Alice's waist and glared at him, while Alice took the tickets.

We took our seat at middle part of the train, I sat beside the window. As we we're about to depart I gave the man a last death-glare. Doesn't he dare come near Alice with lustful feelings!

But wait. Why do I even care? Maybe it's just the strong protecting the weak, but I doubt weak is the right word for vampires. But I guess it fits Alice. She is so small, so fragile. I feel I need to protect her; actually, I want to protect her.

I felt Alice slumped on her chair, her face looking at the ceiling but her eyes were close. I took the chance to look at her.

I noticed that was very beautiful, but of course all vampires are. But Alice, she more than that for me, she was more beautiful than Nettie r Lucy or any of the females I knew before, even more beautiful than Maria.

It's been a minute but Alice didn't move nor opened her eyes. This made me anxious. I doubt she was sleeping or tired. Vampires never get tired nor sleep. But why was Alice like this? Anxiousness overpowered me, I suddenly shook Alice, but she didn't respond.

I have been shaking her for about seconds, and then finally she opened her eyes with a happy smile on her face.
