Alia lives in an orphanage in Kentucky. Her whole life is based on doubts about her past, since she was so young when she lost it the memory of it has faded.
Unlike other children Alia spends most of her time in the room that has become one of the only familiar things in her life. She spends this time reading, remembering, and thinking about what it would be like to know her parents.
Although it may seem like it, Alia's life is not completely sorrowful. She has her best friend in the whole world, a young filly named Aria.
Aria lives at a farm down the road from the orphanage she is a young Quarter Horse who seems alone in the world as well, just one year earlier she had been sold from her mother.
Alia and Aria long to find hope through all the trials, this is the story of how they overcome these trials and find family in a troublesome world.
