I Nervously puffed out my cheeks then loudly exhaled, “Come on where is he,” I thought worriedly. Then another thought crossed my mind, “Am I at the right theater?” I quickly grabbed my purse and pulled out the ticket which clearly read “Dook n’ Dance Theater”. I let out a heavy sigh of relief, but still where the heck was Ty. Didn’t he realize that this mission may be smaller and less dangerous than usual, but it was still important. The police department closed in one hour and if we didn’t get there before it closes the whole mission will be terribly delayed.
I nervously sipped my drink realizing I was soon out and began fidgeting with the ice, at least until someone a few rows back told me to be quiet. It was awfully hard to be quiet when you were as nervous as I am, if we miss this call I’ll never be taken seriously again and as for Ty, he’s got a great reputation it wouldn’t drop much.
“Sarah,” my name was hissed in my ear. I jumped but when I saw it was Ty a wave of anger and relief flooded over me.
“Shh,” he hushed me, then lead me out of the movie theater.
“What took you so long,” I said between gritted teeth, once we were out of the theater.
“Sorry traffic, I see we’re over reacting on our first “mission,” he said while using air quotations. So how was the movie,” he joked.
“Haha very funny,” I replied, he knew that the movie was just the place I was sent to wait for him, to be honest I didn’t even watch a bit of it. “And aren’t you at least somewhat worried, I mean what if something goes wrong?” I asked him while pushing him toward the door.
“No, not really, I don’t know if you’ve heard but this is just a small convenience store robbery, it’s not evEn really a spy mission, we’re not going in secret and it’s not dangerous, it’s practice for you. Stop over reacting.”he said while smoothly opening the car door for me and I angrily plopped in.
“You know if we’re late I get blamed because it’s my mission,” I tried to explain, “I finally get to level 3, where I actually get to do something outside of the spy base, and you’re going to be the reason I get taken back to level 2.” Feeling satisfied with myself I relaxed back into my seat.
“Chill, and remember I’m just your driver,” he said, while looking innocently looking at me.
“Shut up,” I said while gently slapping him, “I’m only 15, it’s not my fault I can’t drive yet, and it’s not like I’d pick you anyway,” I snapped back.
“Okay I know your nervous, but most people are quiet when there nervous you, you just yell a bunch, so I’m just going to pretend that you never said that,” Ty said with a smile, but he was trying to act serious.
“I’m sorry Ty,” I apologized, “I am nervous, it is my first mission anyway, and I defiantly don’t want to screw it up, I’ll stop talking now,” I told him, then smiled at him
“Ya know Northwest Spy Base isn’t that bad, sure at first the work they give you may seem hard, but you’re smart, that’s why you got specially chosen to leave your school and come to Northwest, you’ll get used to it after a while. If it helps I think you’ll make a good spy and trust me once you to get level 4, things will get much more exiting,” he said in a sweet, reassuring voice. I liked that voice.
“Thanks, that does calm me down a bit. Well I guess it’s time to test all that I’ve learned,” I said as we pulled into a parking space, then I anxiously looked into the mirror, “Do I look alright, I mean I wanna look good but not to fanc...”
“You look fine,” Ty said looking at me and resting a reassuring hand on my arm, “Not to fancy but not like a slop, perfect.”
We both climbed out of the car and I thought, ‘Maybe Ty isn’t such a bad guy after all.’ Soon we were both inside sitting in a small office with a man named Officer Stewart.
“Hello sir, we’re both here to help with the convenience store robbery. This is Sarh Hewes, she’s my trainee and I will be here to accompany her though the job,” Ty said with a very official sound to his voice. I liked the way he said it, it made me sound important, like I really knew what I was doing, it sounded nice.
