CHAPTER 57: THINKING OF THE PLAN

(Jacob Black’s Point Of View)

It was an hour after Charlie had left. All of us were still in the living room looking at each other. Ever since Renesmee explained her plan we were wondering if it would work. When she finished explaining her plan I could see the wonder and smiles on everyone’s face. Everyone liked it and it wouldn’t risk anyone’s life.

Renesmee was now on the smaller couch and I was sitting on the floor beside her head. She was lying the most comfortable as she could on her side. She was slowly going to sleep and was trying desperately to stay awake so that she knew everything about our conversation. But when I saw her eyes flutter close and they didn’t open up right after I knew that she had fallen asleep.

We were all discussing what we wanted to do about Renesmee’s plan. At first when Renesmee said that she had an idea we all looked at her as if she had gone insane/ She was the last person who wanted to get Charlie into this and she now had a plan that he could help us in.

But then she explained her plan and it made sense. She told us a couple of hours ago the plan that she was thinking and now we all liked it, “No matter where Irina is in this world with the others she’s got to be listening to a radio or watching television. What we need to do is get her to feel guilty. I’ve noticed that she leaves the innocent alone and that she is going for the people who hurt her mate and her friends. Those are who she is really looking for to hurt. Jacob, you told me that her mate died and she wants to get revenge on the people who did it. She thinks that everyone had already phased right? If we tell her that Quil, Seth, and Leah didn’t phase yet then we might be able to convince her to let JJ, McKenna, Adlar, Shiloh, Shauna-Leigh and Sue. After that we might then learn where they are being kept. Charlie we’ll need to go on every station on the television and the radio. After that there may be news reports and they’ll get onto the internet so she’ll have a greater chance of seeing them. We’ll need a cop on the case so that they know that it is real and we have the rights to do it. Charlie you can really help us.”

So now all of us were thinking about it. It was almost midnight and I knew that I would regret this tomorrow since I had to work, but I needed to be apart of this conversation. The only thing that I didn’t like about this plan was if Irina killed them instead of letting them go. Also I wouldn’t have a chance to get my father or sisters out of this mess. Not only that, but Emily wouldn’t be able to come home to her kids.

After an hour of debating we all agreed to do the plan, but I knew that there would still be some questions that needed to be answered.

“Well, now that we all agree with the idea what are we going to do now?” Seth asked.

“I think that we need to discuss who is going to go on the air.” I recommended.

“And what they are going to say.” Leah added.

Everyone nodded.

“It’ll need to come from someone who seems to be the most innocent out of all of us. One of the family members of the victims.” Jasper said.

“The family member of the victim that we are trying to get back.” Demitri agreed and he wrapped his arm around Leah.

I looked at Leah and she leaned against him. I knew that Demitri was talking about Seth and Leah to be on that live news thing. It might be good, but Leah was also known for a temper. Though I didn’t want to feel extremely rude, but I didn’t think that their pain was going to be enough to really make it for Irina.

“I actually think that Quil and Claire should be on that live news cast thing.” I commented.

By the looks of most people they agreed. Quil and Claire looked the most unhappy though along with a couple of others.

“Look Leah and Seth I know that you two could do the news cast as well, but I have to tell you that I think Irina will be more pitiful if Quil and Claire go on asking for their kids back.” I explained.

“He’s right.” Edward agreed.

“Jacob I can’t do that.” Claire said.

“I know that it will be hard Claire. You too Quil, but I think that Irina will be more pitying to you.” I commented.

“No! What are we supposed to do?! Huh Jacob?! Do you want us to beg in front of the entire world for our kids to be back?! You don’t have kids Jacob. Not yet at least so you don’t have any idea what this feels like.” Claire yelled.

“Shh!” all of the Cullens whispered.

We looked at Renesmee to see if she woke up. All she did was moan and move her head a little. We all looked back at Claire again to see her in tears now. Quil placed an arm around her and kissed her head.

“If you want us to do it so much then I will do it alone. Or with Leah and Seth.” Quil said.

He then began to gently rock Claire. I could see the pain on his face.

Quil was my best friend. He came to me whenever he needed help and I did the same. I was the one that Quil came to when I came home. He needed someone to talk to because of his missing children. I knew how much pain he was going through knowing that his kids had a high possibility of not returning home alive. He hated the tension between him and Claire and Jacob knew that Quil would give anything that he could to get his family back.

“Are you sure?” Edward asked them.

“Yes.” Quil whispered, “I want my kids back.”
