Cartoon Love

Watching cartoons was never my life goal.
I did have a crush on a character
During my teenage angst. I wish he was real.
I wondered if it was meant to be.

He was Jane’s brother. He had his own band.
God, he was so gorgeous. His voice made me melt inside.
Too bad they killed the series. I hope I find my Trent someday.

Maybe I’m a weirdo.
I wanted to be his girl.
Make out in his
Beat-up soup can.
I wanted to search his body for
My soul.

I wanted him to write a song for me.
He hadn’t made his big break yet.
But my love was still strong.

I wondered what our lives would have been like.
He was a slacker, But, I couldn’t get over his deep voice.
I often wondered Could my Trent be real?

Maybe someday Trent will return to the tube,
And reunite with me in my dreams.
Until then, goodnight my Mystic Spiral master,
I shall always love you.
