A poem I wrote based on the book "Keturah And Lord Death" By Martine Leavitt.

He's like a shadow walking behind me.
Mysterious, vanishes in thin air.
He's like a shadow in my mind,
Making me always think of him.

Death is following me,
He's been watching all my life.
He claims the lives of my loved ones,
I'm not fit to be his wife.

His existence will last eternity,
So he wants love that will be eternal.
Death is so lonely as is the people he claims,
But not everyone dies alone.

He has chosen me as his beloved,
I have no choice or he will damn my village.
I've searched for my true love,
But fate is altered by deaths love.

He does not breath,
His heart does not beat.
There is no warmth to his skin.
I am his bride I will live for eternity,
He gives me his forever lasting love.
