Fairy Tale Endings Contest

We all love our classic fairy tales and as of late there have been revisions, dark revisions of them. This contest is not for the light of heart indeed but it is also for those who seek adventure behind their desktop screens and it is for those who want to help defeat the evil within them and yet still spring up memories of long ago.

This contest is simple and has a few rules that need to be followed

1. You must pick a fairy tale (or a nursery rhyme) and revise it.

2. You must use that tale or rhyme to leash out the dark part of you on the beloved characters…not everything has to be luvy duvy, right? I mean think of Red Riding Hood what if she is a werewolf and from the uncontrollable instincts of a werewolf kills her own grandma! Or perhaps Ariel from the Little Mermaid isn't so pretty and/or perhaps the lions from the Lion King are actually mutants trying to take over the world? Think…creativity, people!

3. You short story must be no less than 5,000 words and no more than 10,000

4. You must submit you short story by November 31st or there will be disqualification!

The prizes include

For first place five reads of any of your works, fanning from me, a promotion on my profile, and a book cover made for your entrance piece

Second place three reads of any of your works, fanning from me, and promotion on my profile, and a book cover made for your entrance piece

And finally, third place will receive one read of any of your works, fanning from me, and promotion on my profile, and a book cover made for your entrance piece

Well, that is it everyone. Remember to be creative and have fun!

If you need help I'll post a short story that I have revised on my site.

PS also please let me know in the comment box below if you are planning to enter and what fairy tale/nursery rhyme you plan to revise.

Thanks,

MC
