The crew huddled up together. It was freezing cold, and the air was chilling. The caravan park smelt of dead wildlife. Rick, Lori & Carl were inside their tent talking about Christmas, which Dale had just told them about. They had almost forgotten about it in the wake of the Zombie Apocalypse. It was mere days away. Carl was hoping to get a present or two, and so were the other children.

Rick, Glenn & T-Dog had decided to go to the city in search of supplies and gifts for the children. It was already tough enough as it was for the kids, having to live in a world unfamiliar to them, that the adults could handle, but the children couldn't. Daryl was supposed to come, but decided to go out hunting with Shane.

As they arrived in the city, they could tell almost everywhere had been looted, not like half of the things they took would have been of use to them in such a devastated way. Rick found a Walmart shop that had been broken into, but by the size of the building, and the infrastructure surrounding it, he was sure that not everything would be looted.

As they entered, moans called out to them from a distance. The men turned on some flashlights, and started searching around. While it wasn't very dark, it was dark enough to walk past a walker, and be bit by one of them by mistake. The first to find anything interesting was T-Dog, who found a few cans of canned food. Rick and T-Dog helped him up onto the top shelf and he stashed them in his bag.

A while later, they came to the books section of the shop. Rick and his men took the kid books, and the ones the adults might be interested in, and put them in a backpack. They ran to the toy isle, killing a walker or two on the way, and finished off stashing the bags with toys.

A few days later, on Christmas Day, Dale announced to the whole camp that it was Christmas. Daryl and Shane had found some good meat to eat, and Rick's crew had managed to get presents for all the children and adults.

Joy to the world, but not for long.
