Mitchie Torres walked into East High as her friends Gabriella Montez and Kelsi Nielson walked beside her. They all knew each other since they were 3 years old. Gabriella stands out. She has her own style, and doesn't care what anyone says about it. She dresses to please her and only her. Anyone else she didn't please was out of the picture. Gabriella had long curly brown, almost black hair and chocolate brown eyes. She was Filipino, Spanish, Chinese, Caucasian and Irish. She was short and had a petite figure. Kelsi was more the quiet, shy type. She had shoulder-length light brown curly hair with glasses. She was taller and had a bigger figure, but not by much. She had beautiful blue eyes, but they were always hid behind a book of some kind.
"So, Mitchie, sleep over at your house tonight?" Gabriella asked, waving to some girl who passed us with a smile on her face.
"Of course. It's Friday. But…you guys don't mind if Shane comes, right? I mean, if you don't want him there, I totally understand since Friday nights are nights for us. But since we just got together and…" Mitchie was cut off by Gabriella.
"We don't mind. Right, Kels?"
"Of course not." She responded, smiling.
"Thanks, guys. You rock." Mitchie told them as they walked into homeroom. Kelsi sat next to Taylor which was a bad choice because as soon as Kelsi sat down Taylor just started talking and talking to her. Gabriella sat next to her boyfriend, Troy Bolton and Mitchie sat next to Sharpay. Ms. Darbus walked in and started banging her 'attention stick' as she called it.
The whole class immediately stopped talking and looked up at her. She started rambling on about physics when Chad Danforth tapped Mitchie's shoulder. Mitchie turned around.
"When is she due back on the mothership? " Chad asked, mocking their teacher as she went on and on. Mitchie laughed-obviously too loud since the whole class turned around and looked at her.
Mitchie just covered her mouth to hold back from laughing even louder and shook her head.
"Uh-huh." Mitchie whispered back and went back to copying notes.
