The data for 10 lines / mm give the contrast ratio of the lens again (red lines), the values for 30 lines / mm resolution power of the press (green lines), each with open aperture. Lines which are parallel to the image circle diameter, called sagittal lines (solid line), transverse lines are called tangential lines (dashed line).
After a long and thorough research, I've decided this lens to cover the super wide angle range on my EOS 350D purchase. The test results obtained in relation to the much lower price compared with the comparable EF-S 10-22 practically forced me to this decision. Sigma 10-20mm Canon
Details: The Canon lens offers a slightly larger focal length range (10-22) and is by some. 2/3 stops brighter. If you look at the distortions, the Canon is indeed in the middle of a lot better for it cuts at 10mm was less successful. Regarding the vignetting to give the two optical systems and achieve nothing nevertheless good to very good results.
The test results related to the sharpness is excellent for all both lenses - even if the Sigma is a little better usually. If we look at the chromatic aberrations of the lenses so that Sigma has just a nose ahead, but the Canon is pretty good.
The Sigma lens is processed first class - because Canon can not cut a slice and at the speed of the autofocus, there is no appreciable difference. Both have manual control in the very fast autofocus and both lenses can be used on crop cameras (currently EOS 20D, 30D, 300D and 350D).
