The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Mayer took the teenagers of the world by storm in 2005. A story that has romance, horror, mystery and an intersting assortment of characters. But is it really worth the hype??? Personally, I find the series rather soapy, and a poor interpretation of the concept of vampires and werewolves.

Lets take the vampires for example. The only part that seemed correct was that vampires drink blood. What happened to the fact that they burn in sunlight? I mean, glittering like diamonds?! The 'vegetarianism' is interesting, and rather clever, but not good enough to keep the thrill of vampires alive.

Next, moving on to the werewolves. If I recall, the human transforms in the full moon, undergoing excruciating pain, and unable to keep their mind once the tranformation is complete. Here, the humans transform at will, and, simply behave like the animagus illustrated in Harry Potter series.

It appears that both these mythical creatures have only posiives and no negatives. That sounds more like a childish interpretation, than a teenage romantic fantasy.

I will restrict this review to the errors in the mythical facts. In the next we will scrutinise the 'Love Trinagle'.
