Catching Fire is an excellent book to read. The author of the book is Suzanne Collins. She has written a whole series of books. This is the second one. Out of all of them this is my favorite.
Katniss is recovering from the previous book's events, where she and Peeta won the Hunger Games. Everything at home in District 12 has changed, including Katniss' relationship with Gale. She and Peeta still have to pretend they're an item, although her feelings for Gale are totally unresolved. Before Katniss, Peeta, and Haymitch leave town for the Victory Tour they're traditionally obligated to take, President Snow stops by to warn Katniss that he's watching her. He doesn't want to see any more rebellious stunts. Somewhat daunted, Katniss prepares for the tour. Once they leave, Katniss takes Haymitch aside for a strategy meeting. He drives home the point that her whole life – if she and Peeta want to survive – will involve this made up love affair. She and Peeta must keep up the show of their puppy love.
My favorite part in The Hunger games second book Catching Fire is where Peeta Mellark who is now Katniss's fiancé? He makes the effort to keep her alive. He does this by volunteering to take Haymitch's place in the Quarter. I do not have no personally connection to the book.
My sister’s friends are in war. I know the harsh, scared feelings that she gets. You worry about them all the time. Katniss was in the war and is now recovered. Many families today worry about their loved ones in the war. I cannot imagine what they go through. I don’t want to experience these feelings.
The writer of this book uses very descriptive characteristics. Each character has a long description. They are in a lot of detail. The make it easier to understand the plot. Not only understanding the plot but the whole book.
