GuitarPlayer's Mythical Creature Contest Results!
Welcome to the results!
First of all- this was such a hard decision to make! Out of 45 original entrants, 21 managed to post something. I was a little disappointed by the amount of people who dropped out, but it was hard enough to judge with the ones there were, let alone with 45 of you, so perhaps it was for the best ^-^
Okay, so here we go.
UnderxYourxSpell, with Last Breath-her mythical creature was a Siren.
There is good reason why Spell has done so well in previous challenges- her unique settings coupled with incredibly complex and endearing characters, who are mercilessly dropped into some of the most imaginative, yet somewhat believable events and happenings, coupled with her beautiful descriptions, and snippets of humour, made her the winner of this contest. I was blown away by her skill with words, imagination and wit, and I look forward to the day I can read her work from a printed book, bought from a real life bookshop! Congratulations, Spell, you really deserve First Place ^_^
Read Last Breath here, and take a look at her stunning album artwork! :

Congratulations to all of you! And also, a huge thank you to all the other entrants:
This has been a great challenge to host, and it wouldn't have been the same without all of you lovely people! Every piece of work was excellent, so thank you so much. I hope you enjoyed it!
Thank you!Amayax, Meeko, RoseBouquet, Angellynn, Forbidden, Kiwi11, YoungWriter, Destined For Darkness, HollyJaye, SnapDragon123, Graeme Montrose, LadyElizabeth, MagdaGDarko, Kritika, and BulletOfCorruption.
Both of these two definitely deserved a mention! I loved the well written Greek piece that Vengie came up with, and it had a really original flavour to it. Kairi had a difficult creature to work with- but she produced a beautifully written piece with an amazing Japanese setting, which also had a really sweet moral to it. I also loved the titles of both of these pieces! Congratulations to both of you ^_^
Read For the Love of Aphrodite here:with For the Love of Aphrodite- based on Cyclops, and Kairi with The Magic In A Story- based on a Konak Jiji.
Daisy wrote a breathtaking piece, with some dazzling descriptions and beautiful choices of words, and Teddy wrote an equally well written piece, with some hilarious moments that had me laughing out loud all the way through. I thought that both deserved third place, and couldn't put my finger on the better piece, so I decided to break my own rule, and award two people third place in the challenge. Congratulations to both of you!
Read Daisy's work here:with The Frosted Lake, based on a Sprite and Teddy's story, based on a Devalpa.
Drizzle's novel was packed with suspense, action and brilliant descriptions that often left me reeling! Parts of the story were really intense, and yet at other parts he took the time to really detail every part of the thing he was trying to descirbe. His characters also stood out- in particular his evil villain, Tiberius, who was fascinating as a character! Congratulations!
Read City of Ash here:with City of Ash- based on a Griffin/Gryphon.
