“Kevin , what did you do to my car keys?”
Lily rummaged through the kitchen drawers in search for the essential part of her getting to school. Not that she wanted to go to school.
Kevin, her fourteen year old brother snickered at Lily's attempts before pulling the keys out of his pocket and walking to get into the passenger seat of Lily's car.
“ So what happened with Josh yesterday?”
Lily sighed in frustration and turned up the heat in her car.
“ Nothing happened Josh. He just wasn't my type.”
Kevin Rowell glared at his older sister.
“ Dad said he is gonna be late again tonight. Appearently something bad happened at the office and he had to go to see his boss Stanton Vega to fix it.”
Lily rolled her eyes. Why did her father insist on going across three states every other weekend?
She slammed the car door shut with a thud.
“ Whatever just don't be late. I wanna leave before five.”
Kevin snorted, gave her the middle finger and quickly made his way to his Freshman homeroom.
Their High School was like any other. Big, Dirty and Cold.
She guessed that was just the joy of living in Colorado.
“ Hey Lil! Long time no see. How was that date with Josh?”
Lily whined before answering her best friend's question.
“ No, Brooke it wasn't a date. It was a meeting of interests.”
17 year old Brooke Falcon cocked a eyebrow and rolled her eyes.
“ Yeah and I'm a freaking vampire.” ([A.N] LOL)
“ Seriously Lily grow a pair...and look those hot boys over there!”
Lily glanced in the direction of two boys who were surrounded by a mob of screaming girls.
The older one smiled kindly and replied to each one of the girl's questions nicely. The younger one however..
“ What's your name? OMG when did you move here? Can I have your number? Where do you live?”
The lighting blue eyes of the younger brother caught Lily's eye and they stood there staring at each other.
“ They definitely look interesting, but I have seen plenty of other guys who--”
Suddenly Lily was knocked to the ground with tremendous force.
“ Hey you! What the hell?”
Brooke screamed loudly at the girl who past by with a boy trailing behind her.
“ Hahaha you look ridiculous. Who chose your outfit your mother?”
The blonde girl laughed and placed her hands on her hips.
“ Move...”
Lily sat there glaring at the girl. Like hell she was going to move. Instead Lily took this opportunity to trip the girl and send her falling to the ground.
Panic and shock struck the girl. The expression she held was almost as if she had never been knocked down before in her life.
“ Why you little bitch! How dare you!”
She flashed quickly in front of Lily's face with a dangerous expression. It was something that Lily had never seen before and she didn't think she ever wanted to again.
“ Tatiana!”
A angry voice echoed throughout the school halls. The boy from before was now in front of her almost as if standing guard.
The girl, Tatiana. Her expression changed to one of lust as soon as the boy stepped into her view. It was obvious that she had a thing for this boy.
“ Keiran! Oh it has been forever since Daemon I saw you last! It was the Holiday Ball was it not.”
Tatiana winked and Keiran wrinkled his face into a frown.
“ Don't remind me.”
The older brother now approached with Brooke blabbering away.
“ Tiana. I think its best if we get to class.”
The authority in this boys voice was clear. Lily glanced at Tatiana to see her roll her eyes and stomp off in the direction of the Junior classrooms.
Keiran reached down and extended a hand to Lily in old fashion.
“ I'm sorry about Tatiana. She has a serious problem.”
Lily smiled weakly and accepted his hand.
“ Thats alright I'm sorta used to stuff like that. So I am guessing that you're new here?”
Keiran nodded his head and motioned towards the other boy.
“ I am Keiran and this is my brother Sebastian Kale.”
Lily smiled genuinely.
“Well its good to meet you Keiran.”
Keiran grinned and walked away without a second glance. He stopped for a second before raising his hand.
“ Good to meet you too, Lily.”
