Layla is thrown into the wall, it webbed out behind her with fresh cracks formed from the pressure of the blow. She jumped back up, and grit her teeth at Xander, who stood a good two yards away with a smug little grin on his face. With all the strength she could scrounge up, she formed a power ball and threw it at Xander with an angry yell. It flew into Xander, knocking him back just a few feet, where he landed gracefully on his own two feet.
"Fuckin' show off..." Layla hissed under her breath.
"Nice try, Layla. But that was supposed to be a Power Ball...I didn't feel much power from it." Xander called from across the arena.
"Well, if you hadn't kicked the shit out of me already, I would've been able to put more power into, you little prick..." Layla growled angrily back at him.
She could see him roll his eyes, thanks to her advanced sight and hearing, she also caught his frustrated sigh.
Layla blinked, and Xander was standing infront of her, she heard an 'oooh' from the crowd that watched from the sidelines, she glanced over and found a small group of girls had formed, they stared with googoo eyes at Xander. Layla faught back a gag of disgust.
"I wouldn't be kicking the shit out of you, if you would just stop being so damn stubborn and pay attention when I tell you to do something, it's called learning. Look it up." He hissed back, not paying any attention to the girls as they giggled and tried very hard to get his attention, Layla assumed it was because he had gotten used to it. Ever since he showed up a year ago, every girl at the school was stumbling all over themselves to get him to notice them, well every girl but Layla.
Layla couldn't think of a reply, probably because he was right, she should be listening to what he was telling her, but she didn't want to. They stood there, staring each other down, neither one of their gazes faultered, until, that is, one of the giggling girl pack pranced over.
"Xander! Oh Xander, do you think you could come and show me how to do that Whip thingy again? I forgot." The blonde bimbo giggled as she put her hand on his arm, forcing him to look away from me.
"Whiplash, Nani, it's called a Whiplash. And sure, me and Layla were done here anyways. Same time tomorrow Layla." Xander said walking with the girl named Nani towards the other end of the arena. Layla scowled at the giggling group and Xander as he explained one of the easiest moves in the history of Kinamo Fighting.

Layla stormed into her apartment, spitting out every curse word she could think of and make up. She threw her duffle bag on the floor and screamed through her clenched teeth.
"Well, it sounds like you had more fun with Mr. Sexy Xander." Said Ria, Layla's roommate. Layla glowered at her. "Don't. Call. Him. That." She said angrily, still clenching her teeth, and now even her fists.
Ria laughed at Layla's anger and grinned, "Oh come on...you know you think he's hott. I mean seriously, there is so much sexual tension between the two of you, if I walked between you, I'd have an orgasm." Ria said grinning mischieviously at Layla.
Layla's jaw dropped and all the anger flooded out of her, as she stared dumbfounded at her roommates words. "What?!" She managed to blurt out.
Ria laughed again, "Hello! Wake up honey, I love you, but sometimes...seriously. I've seen you two together, the only reason you two get on each others nerves so easily, is because you like each other." Ria said rolling her eyes, annoyed with Layla's ignorance.
Layla sputtered out a laugh, "I can't stand him! And he can't stand me either! I don't know what you're smoking Ria, but please...stop. It's starting to effect your brain functions. " Layla walked over to the fridge and pulled out a water bottle and chugged almost the whole bottle before turning back to Ria, who stood there shaking her head at Layla.
"Whatever...but you know I'm right. I just hope there's a tape of what happens between the two of you when you finally jump him. That is going to be one hell of a sex tape!" Ria said grinning.
Layla choked on her water. Which only made Ria burst into a fit of laughter.
