PROLOGUE
Once upon a time, in a kingdom far, far away...
There was a girl telling her daughter, or cousin, or sister, or weird uncle Jimmy about some story that had to do with magic. The magic she talked about could make flowers bloom and dirty water flow clean. That magic healed the land with no consequence.
This is not that story.
This story is about four teens against the world. How they faced the dangers that no one sees. The attacks that they prevent so that we can live another day.
They harnessed enough power to wipe out countries, but didn't even know about it until their fourteenth birthdays. The power changed them, making them outcasts. They controlled a magic that could save everyone, but still left them as losers.
Each teen had a completely different life, but they were all brought together one summer in a tiny village in Africa, a village that had no name. Very few people knew about this place, and even less survived to tell the tale.
Whether it be fate, luck, or coincidence, these four found each other, just in time to save the world.
