Meanwhile, surrounded by tanks, Carter stands tall. He rushes one tank ramming it with his shoulder. One side of the tank lifts off the ground from the force of the blow. Leaning back he digs his fingers into the side with both hands. Flexing his Crydium muscles he rips the tank wide open revealing two soldiers inside. He grabs them both and throws them over his head behind him. They come crashing down onto the ground. In fear they get up and run away.
Another tank fires its cannon at him. The armor piercing bullet flies through the air. Carter turns around as he swings his arm backward. Hitting the side of the large bullet with the back of his hand, he deflects it away from him. It explodes upon making contact with another armored vehicle destroying it and the people inside.
With a loud noise another bullet comes at him but he quickly throws his hand up and catches it in mid air. Bringing it to eye level he looks it over. An evil smile spreads across his face as his eyes move upward and focus on the tank it come from. He hauls his arm back and hurls the bullet back at the tank. The top hatch opens and both soldiers try to escape. One soldier jumps off but the bullet hits the tank dead on. The ensuing explosion swallows the first soldier and blows the other out of the air into the ground.
Out of nowhere a massive projectile hit Carter. He sees it coming from the corner of his eye. With little time he manages to get his arms up, crossing his forearms in front of his face. The impact pushes him backward a few feet but the explosion swallows him whole. All the soldiers cheer from the inside of their protective vehicles.
As the flames die and the smoke clears, the soldiers can see Carter still standing. His arms crossed in front of him and his head down. Smoke is coming off of his body. He is viciously burnt. He lifts his head up and uncrosses his arms slowly. Little metallic bugs begin scouring the burnt portions of his body. As he stretches his arms out to his sides these little bugs disappear into his damaged flesh. Then once the bugs are no longer visible, his wounds are completely healed.
"Rhaaawwr!" he calls out as he continues to stretch. Moving back into his attack position he calls out with a laugh "I sure as hell hope that ain't all ya got!"
Lunarbeam soars through the skies headed for Carter's position. A large ball of white light follows him, inside it stand General Hicks and Black Scorpion. Hearing explosions in the distance, Lunarbeam increases speed. Closing in on the area the top of a tank rockets through the air just missing the group. They move down to see Carter swinging the cannon of a tank around like a baseball bat. Hitting everything in sight soldier's bodies and debris from broken tanks fly through the air in all directions.
The ball of light lands on the ground and vanishes. Carter stops to look over at the group. He tosses his weapon over his shoulder into a pile of soldiers and tank parts. Lunarbeam floats down beside Scorpion and Hicks. A loud bang turns all of their heads to see a large missile coming at them. They all get ready to run except Lunarbeam who raises both his hands up facing the oncoming threat. A massive energy field encases them. The missile hits the field exploding instantly. Flames and smoke spread all over the dome. When the flames are gone he puts his hands down and the field dissipates.
His eyes glow fiercely for a second before two small beams of light shoot from them. They hit, piercing the tank. Then beams of white light appear to rip through the tank tearing it apart from the inside. With an explosion so bright the other three villains must divert their eyes from it, pieces of the tank scatter in all directions. The soldiers on the inside are now just particles of dust in the wind. All three of them look to him in shock.
"I'm much more powerful under the light of the moon" Lunarbeam states.
Many more armored vehicles appear on the horizon. The moon is full and the skies are clear. Hicks loads his rifle and bazooka, Scorpion extends her bo staff, Carter cracks his fingers and Lunarbeam's hands glow white with power. The four of them stand side by side ready to fight.
Two of the tanks, now in close enough range to fire each launch a missile.
"Got this one" Hicks calls out as he brings his rifle to eye level. Pulling the trigger he fires a single shot. The bullet rips through the air toward one of the missiles. They hit dead on. Hicks' bullet drills right through the missile making it explode in the air.
"My turn" Scorpion responds as she disappears. With a faint ripping sound she now sits on top of the missile. She spins her staff around and hooks it around the tip of the projectile. Grabbing the staff with both hands lifting upward she guides the missile around into the opposite direction. She holds on tight aiming the missile for a direct hit. By the time the tank explodes from the missile impact she is already standing beside her companions watching the fireworks.
  "Very nice" Carter adds impressed.
Lunarbeam lifts his arm up all four fingers pressed together pointing towards the incoming vehicles. He  holds his forearm with his other hand and leans his head sideways to look down his arm to his fingertips. White rings appear around his arm and flow down towards his fingertips. As each ring reaches them they glow more and more fierce. He then releases the build up of energy. The flat, powerful beam tears through the night air. As it reaches the horde of military vehicles. The beam decimates one tank, turning it to ash, followed by the tank behind it and the one behind that. He brings his arm down, smoke rising from it.
"That's how ya kill a roach, Beamer!" Hicks says with a laugh.
As the tanks begin to close in the four of them split up. Carter charges the line of tanks. Lunarbeam floats higher in the air to gain a tactical advantage. Hicks runs to the side switching the rifle for the bazooka on his back. Scorpion flips in the air and ports toward a group of soldiers marching in front.
