Fantasy Breach

Novel By: Cherie Arlavine

It's not important. The name. I'm your typical pathetic human attending high school my senior year. But I don't care about not being noticed. It doesn't matter. There's only one thing that matters. And that is getting out.
Father is a careless asshole who loves his drugs. Mother is a drunk. They both beat me. But that doesn't really matter either.
I'm in the band, and no, I don't love it. It isn't because it's such an outlet. I am in the band because every year after the homecoming game the football team, the cheerleaders and the band goes to Vegas.
And this year when we go, I'm not coming back.
A few things to get out of the way:
1.) My school is not your normal high school. There are seventeen total humans in it. The rest... well, they act human enough. But don't be fooled.
2.) I'm the bottom of the food chain here... but that's okay. being human is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It keeps me out of Chaz's hands. Chaz is the most popular guy in school, he's half vampire, and he hates humans and refuses to have anything to do with them. Even if he is, himself, half human.
3.) I got really drunk last night, and there's a guy in bed with me. And I think we got married.
Which is going to make running away a hell of a lot harder. View table of contents...

(I'm sorry for the incredibly long delay and the shortness on top of that. I am SO blocked and I thank you for the advice. I dedicate this to "Future Marines Girl" for your help and advice but man it is driving me CRAZY! I want to work on this and I love the idea and this story so much. I don't know why I can't come up with any ideas. So if you guys could bear with me on this I'd really appreciate it. Oh... and sex. There is sex. Haha.)

Enormous. Gigantic. Was there a word able to describe the size of Chaz's mansion? "Come on." he murmured, gently pulling me to the entrance of the ginormous- that was the word- white mansion. Well, mostly glass actually. Very thick glass. Chaz opened the door, led me inside. A man, looking a lot like Chaz- also his age- and his wife, not much older than Chaz either, were coming down the stairs.
"Chaz, who is this?" Mr. Kalis asked. "A friend?" He looked me over, seemed to disapprove. "I don't think I've ever seen you with a human before. And I don't think it is a good idea-"
"Dad, Mother, this is my wife. Cherie Love, maiden name Gregory. Now Kalis, of course."
Both of them stopped at the bottom of the stairs and stared at him. "You're married? To a human?" Mrs. Kalis asked, looking me over with concern.
When his father looked at me it was like he didn't get it. "We need to talk privately, Chaz. Now."
"I can't right this second. I'm going to take her to our room so she can rest. I'll meet you in your office in about ten minutes."
Chaz led me away. I pulled against him, "Wait Chaz-"
He picked me up and swiftly carried me out of the foyer and into what I assumed he must think was a bedroom but looked more like a warehouse stocked with furniture. "What is this?" I asked, looked around the room, taking in the huge glass windows that revealed a gorgeous view of a well tended garden and a pool.
"My room." he explained.
"This is not a room. This is a house." I corrected as he walked me across the room and set me down on an oversized oval-shaped bed. "Chaz, I don't want you to get in trouble with your parents-"
"Cherie. I'm a good guy when I want to be, but I'm not a nice guy. You'll do what I tell you, understand?"
I swallowed, and I could tell he was reacting from fear of me not obeying him and leaving. "I'll handle my parents and you'll stay in here." He leaned forward and gave me a quick kiss on the mouth. "I'll be back soon. I have to go talk to my father."

Chaz walked into his father's office where Sampson Kalis was pacing back and forth. Chaz's face showed no emotion. Sampson stopped pacing and glared at his son. "Are you a fucking lunatic?" he demanded to know. "You brought home a human wife?"
"Yes." Chaz said casually. "And before we continue this conversation, I'm telling you now I don't care what you say about me, but watch what you say about her."
"Do you not realize how dangerous this is for her Chaz?"
"I do. But I've shown great restraint. I slept with her when I was drunk, and I didn't kill her."
"You know I won't allow you to be divorced. It's shameful."
"I don't want to divorce her. I want to take care of her."
"What about her parents? Do they know?"
"Her parents are drug attics and alcoholics and if I ever have the displeasure to meet them I'll snap their necks. You wouldn't believe the way they've tortured my wife over the years." He shook his head in disgust. "They're dirty animals and she's eighteen. She doesn't have to tell them a damn thing."
"Fine. Get out of my office. And when your wife ends up hurt, don't come crying to me."

I wandered around the so-called room and was amazed that he actually had a kitchen in his room. I was digging around the refrigerator, and turned a little pale when I saw all the blood.
"I'll have some human food stocked in here." He put his hands on my hips and gently pulled me back then closed the door. "Sorry you had to see that."
"No problem." I replied. "For better or for worse right? It's not a big deal as long as… well that wasn't human blood was it?"
"No, animal blood strictly." he promised.
"Okay, I can deal with that." I said and gave him an assuring smile.
"This is your home now, Cherie. I want you to be comfortable in it." He picked me up and set me on the counter, then stood between my legs. "Is there anything I can do to make it feel more…homey?"
"A beating would make me feel right at home." I muttered.
His eyes darkened. "That is not fucking funny."
"I know." I sighed. "I don't know the meaning of home, Chaz."
"You will." he promised. "And you'll have to get used to it, but you're going to be treated like a princess." he pressed his lips to mine, opening his mouth.
I kissed him back, let his tongue slide in and let his hands come under my shirt. He pulled my hips closer to the edge so I could feel his erection press against my crotch.
Someone cleared their throat and he pulled away and looked over my shoulder. He smirked. "Hello Mother."
"Son." she replied, walking over to the kitchen. "I didn't mean to interrupt."
"It's fine." he assured her. "Cherie, this is my mother Juliette. Or Julie. Mother, this is Cherie, my wife."
"Nice to meet you." she said and smiled softly. Her eyes flickered to my neck. "What happened there?" she asked.
"I bit her." Chaz answered truthfully. "I was drunk and you know… Anyway, we, um, both got tattoos too."
"Oh." she murmured. "It's so nice to see how responsible you've become Chaz. Drunk, married, bit a human and a tattoo all in one day. A mother couldn't be more proud of her son." she sighed. "Good luck Cherie."
Then she was gone, just like that. Chaz picked me up- which was seeming to quickly become a habit for him- and he set me on his massive bed covered in tan sheets. He kissed me, then smiled. "I'm going to play some music." he said and walked over to his stereo and turned it on. He picked a song, and I was surprised to hear "Please Don't Go" by Mike Posner start playing.
"Huh, didn't think you were the type, Kalis."
He grinned. "There's a lot you don't know about me, Kalis." He crawled onto the bed until he was next to me. "Lay back, Sweetheart. We're going to have sex."
I smiled at him and laid back on the bed. I stretched my arms over my head and shivered as he crawled over me. Chaz started kissing my neck, and I tensed. He chuckled at my reaction, then pushed into me.
I wondered, idly, if I'd ever get used to Chaz. He was a considerate prick, a complete contradiction to both me and himself. He preferred to be the man- stating the obvious- but I could tell he cared about me.
I gasped out a breath as he hit a delightful spot, then shuddered. His mouth took mine as he pushed deeper, making me groan. When it came to sex Chaz was more for the taking, he liked control, he liked giving me the pain and pleasure, and I was starting to get irritated by being so new into the learning process, because I wanted it to be my turn to take control.
Soon enough, I thought, soon enough.
