Chapter 5: Hilarious, Irony.

When I went to bed, I sighed gratefully, the abnormal freak-of-nature wings gone. The pizza was a big help, I was calm and not in a panic attack anymore. It still didn’t drive my questions of terrible confusion away. I decide to just close my eyes and hope I have a good dream, maybe a fun one.

Get real, Morgan. I tell myself.

I woke up, the strange feeling of grass on my cheek. I immediately bolt upright, to see a massive man grinning wickedly at me, his arms outstretched for me, as if I was some valuable diamond. His hands are changing into paws, and large claws slowly come out. I can only scream as the person’s transforming hands come closer and closer to my face…

I wake up, for real this time. “Geez, am I trying to win the world record for scaring yourself for no good reason every five seconds?!” Fortunately, my alarm was just about to ring, so there was no point in falling asleep again. I quickly turn it off before it can ring, then I put a plain red shirt and typical blue jeans, then comb my hair. I put on the necklace my parents gave me, and then head downstairs.

After a quick breakfast, I head off to school, which was a short walk away. I sigh, the day is about to become very boring. I can just tell by looking at the clouds, which are blacking with violent anger, preparing to unleash a powerful rainstorm on our heads for hours on end.

It didn’t bode well, but I still went inside, determined not to be put down. However, I felt extremely uneasy, and I couldn’t shake the growing feeling that…

Something was going to happen. The smell, the one my parents say comes from werewolves and vampires… was growing stronger.
