There was a girl running through the forest her hair in long, dirty tresses falling down her back. It looked like she was crying and trying to scream. The wind was rapid and unforgiving, beating hard against her face. The sky looked like it was angry, lighting was striking all around her, maybe directly at her, over and over again. All of a sudden she just stopped and looked up, there in the sky was a lighting bolt forming so big it looked like it could kill anyone within a ten mile radius of her. Her mouth opened in an O of surprise, and after being frozen in terror for a few moments she started to scream. The second scream was half-way out of her mouth before the lighting bolt came down and--.

"Honey wake up it's time to go to school." I sat bolt upright as I heard my mom yell from downstairs. I got up terrified of what I had dreamed. I never had nightmares, they were like a myth to me, not real. But this, this had been like a walking nightmare. One that you couldn't wake up from.

I brushed it aside thinking that, that's all that it had been, a nightmare. A figment of my imagination. I got up slowly out of the bed, stretching all my limbs to make sure they were still working right. I walked downstairs after taking a shower and dressing quickly. As I sat down to eat breakfast I saw that the bus was going to be coming in exactly five minutes. I began to stuff my plates of food it my mouth, peice by peice. I know it was disgusting but I was hungry and lunch was so far away.

So after I had scarfed down my breakfast and drank my coffee, I went to wait by the bus stop. I had to practically run to get there in time but thankfully I still made it. I wasn't usually this late, but I was always late either way. Time was just not a concept to me. I had always ignored and I always would. As I got onto the bus I could see my to best friends Kalyn and Sayre waiting for me in our usual seats. I walked back the aisle careful not to trip over the half fallen out of his seat drunk that usually slept on the bus till noon and then woke up wondering where his alligator was. Don't even wonder your brain will start hurting.

"Hey girl, how's it going?" Sayre asked me.

"The usual way with it raining apples and all that." I said casually.

"Well that's better than my way today, it's raining peaches." said Kalyn.

We had this thing where we would say the first thing that came to our head and then laugh about it afterwards. We had been friends for what seemed like forever, but in truth only three years. I was suprised at how quick;y they accepted me into there circle. I was hated at my old school because I was either to smart or had stuck my nose in where "supposedly" it hadn't belonged. I still think that helping old Ms.Robbins find out who had been throwing chocolate marshmellow bunnies at her house, was a good idea. It had been the one that had changed my life.

We had to move here because the kids at my old school wouldn't stop harasing me to the point of sending out threat notes on a daily bases. So we had moved to this little town. Here people call me Rayn even though my name is Rayna Sinclair.

Anyways as we were riding along all peachy keen I finally realized that we were at "the" stop. This is the stop where the supposedly witches/vampires  got on. They look like normal kids and I am positive they are. I have been through what they are going through right now, being teased and poked and prodded to the point od insanity. Finding myself wanting to take all the rage I had inside me out on somebody else, but I hadn't, somehow I hadn't.

When I let my eyes travel to the entrance to the bus, I saw the most amazing thing. The witches/vampires or as they really are named the Hunters, had a new member to the family. He wasn't regular though he looked like a greek god. Great abs from what I could see through his shirt, tall, with black kind of wavy hair. He looked like he should have been in college rather than high school.

Right on cue as if some invisible force had drawn my chin up I looked into his eyes, and at that exact moment his face pointed towards mine. He looked for a minute curiously at my friends and then his eyes settled on me. I almost gasped outloud from the shock of the intensity of his gaze. He had startling golden, black edged eyes that seemed to speak right to my soul. He started walking towards me, his eyes still locked with mine. My heart I was sure was probably beating faster than ever recorded in history and the only thing that was running through my mind was what if I say something stupid, or worse I don't say anything at all. As my thoughts became more and more panicked so did my urge to run. He was almost to me and I still couldn't think of a single thing to say. He sat down in the seat across from mine. I looked at him and he looked at me and then--
