I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, calling on my ability. After 2 minutes of trying I realized it wasn’t going to work that way at all. I opened my eyes widely and then stood quickly. I reached into my jacket for my gun but it was missing. I suddenly ran across the small space and grabbed the gun off the table.

“What the heck happened to my vision” I said angrily pointing the metal at the man who only glanced at me a bit, though sitting still. “I did nothing to your vision” he said waving his hand like he was dismissing me. “How do I know you’re telling the truth” I said lowly almost growling. “Cause my vision isn’t working either, honestly it’s like this is the first time this has happened to you” he said and my eyes widened a bit in surprise. “What” I asked confused and he glanced surprisingly at me. “Did you ever try using your ability when it was a new moon” he asked and I thought way back. “No” I said softly and he nodded his head. “Right, well you can’t we loose our powers on that night” he said reaching for the something, making me raise the gun again.

“Would you put that down” he asked grabbing the beer on the table. “I’m not going to kill you tonight, you have a refuge for now” he said and I looked around the place for a moment. “Pretty shabby” I said and he glared at me. “So you think, I never saw you in a home before” he said stating what we both new.

“You follow me too much, isn’t that called stalking” I said feeling a small smile spread across my lips. “Course not, why would I stalk a little girl” he said and I felt my lips purse together as my anger flared. “I’m not a little girl” I said as I watched his eyes trail up and down my body. “Little girl” he nodded his head as he turning his attention back the TV screen. “I am not a little girl” I said and a click could be hear drowning out the TV. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you” he said and the door suddenly banged, causing the chains across the door to clang.

“What was that” I said back away from the door and closer to the man. “Monsters” he said and I glared at him. “Now stop playing and give me that gun” he said and something banged against the door again.

Suddenly the man had the gun out of my hand and had me thrown down onto the couch. He pressed his body on top of mine and held the gun to my head. We laid on the couch together for a moment, staring into each other’s eyes. It took him a while to notice what position we were in and how awkward this was before he placed the gun on the table again. He glanced down on me, shifting his weight so it was off my shoulder which was hurting badly now.
Finally I got a good look at the man who had been chasing me for those couple of years. He had black rather long hair. It touched his neck and he had no bangs. The color was as dark as the night sky or a raven’s body. His black eyes matched nicely and his face was flawless. He had a defined jaw line and nice looking lips. He was taller then me and seemed much larger. His hand were bigger then mine but seemed to fit him nicely. He smelt like a soft cologne that lingered and reminded you of things you couldn’t remember. It was like it had always been apart of him and I felt much more uncomfortable now.

He was watching me intently and I couldn’t help it when I felt my cheeks redden a bit. I tried avoiding his eyes but when they were so close to yours, you had no where else to look. The longer I looked, the deeper I was falling into my weak self and like a normal human girl. I felt his breath dance around my lips and I could almost feel them touch mine.

“Now please, behave yourself” he said slowly getting off of me as the news came back on. “Unless you intend to fight who ever is knocking on my door this time, I advise you to show some manners” he said sitting in his spot again, taking a swig of some beer. “No” I whispered, still laying on the couch. “You okay” he asked looking over at me for a moment. “Fine” I whispered, rolling over to look at the wall, my head hurting. “I promise, I won’t ever hurt you as long as you are here” he said and I kept quiet.
