"Christina, it is me." God speaks out. I open my eyes, seeing a bright light shine through my window.
"God, what are you doing here?" I ask yawning.
"I've come with a message about Lucifer." He says. My eyes widen and fear builds up my throat.
"Is everything ok with him?" I ask, worry evident in my voice.
"He is fine but I wanted to let you know that you are meant to help him with fulfilling his destiny in the future, but at a cost of what he has now; his love for me." God replies back.
"Ok… so what should I do right now?"
"Work for both Apollo and Lucifer and serve me as an Angel. But in truth I'll give you the title as first born Fallen Angel." He says quietly. The light starts to dimmer around him.
"God, wait! What's going to happen between me and Lucifer?"I shout out.
"You'll know in due time dear child, you'll know." He says. The light fades into the darkness before everything goes black.
My eyes open up and it's the morning. I sit up almost immediately and look at the clock.
'Why did I have such a dream about Lucifer?'
I walk down the stairs and into the kitchen. Risan was cooking up a storm inside.
Smells like death
Calling all the damned!
Oh what fun it is to mourn and find out who died today!"
"Someone's in a good mood" I say, looking to make sure there's enough space in between us.
"Oh yes! I'm in such a good mood! You just got a job to work as an Arch Angel!" He says as my eyes widen in shock.
"Huh?" I ask, my mind quietly trying to figure out if that dream really was a dream.
"Yes sweetheart, God said you're going to start to work for Lucifer and Apollo starting next month." He explains. I look out the window and see kids playing on the street. Lucifer…
"You know, it's so sad. You and Lucifer should have kept in contact when he left for Heaven. But oh no! Your stubborn attitude towards him leaving just made it so much easier!" He shouts out in frustration. I sigh, irritated by his words.
"He lied to me about leaving; he said it was for the summer! I told you I don't want to talk to him again. Stop bringing it up" I snap. Risan shakes his head and continues cooking without another word on the subject.
"Are you hungry? I'm making your favourite!" he says squealing like a girl. I roll my eyes at his sudden mood swing.
"It's your favourite! I can't stand it when you make scythe and skull shaped pancakes." I whine. He smiles and chuckles low.
"Well too bad! You're eating it." He says, dismissing my complaint.
He Hands over the very annoying pancakes with a dollop peach syrup. I start eating quickly so I don't have to notice them at all.
"So, when do you plan on working as a Reaper again, Mr Starving Artist?" I ask. He drinks orange juice like they're shots of vodka in a drinking game before answering my question.
"I'm not sure Miss. I'm going to ignore your future husband-" I cut him off before he can make any more damage. Now I'm really pissed off.
"Akashore isn't my future husband! He's just a friend." I say harshly. He just laughs and rolls his eyes.
"Whatever you say, missy" He replies back before getting up to wash our plates.
"You shouldn't be in denial you know." Risan lectures, his voice like he knows all.
"And you shouldn't be butting into people's problems." I tell him back. I stand up to leave but at the doorway I stand still.
"I'm pretending to be a guy so Lucifer won't see me as Christina." I say matter-of-factly then exit the room. I hear Risan sigh in frustration behind me. I won't let Lucifer hurt me again. Not like before.
