CHAPTER 10
Rioghnan knocked on Sage's study door.
"Enter" she commanded
Rioghnan bowed to show respect for his Princess. Sage looked up and her heart started beating faster. She always felt a little lightheaded when the masculine Commander of the Olivier (elf army) came near her.
"Rioghnan, what a nice surprise. May I help you with something" Sage said with more confidence that she felt.
"Your Majesty, I have received word that the dark elves are in uproar."
"What do you mean? About what?"
"We are uncertain, Your Highness. Tsisem did not say who but he as a connection that is living among them. He did not give any specifics but Tsisem is sure we have a huge problem."
Sage got up from behind her desk and walked to the window. She sighed while looking over the garden.
Rioghnan couldn't keep his eyes off her. She had the most beautiful hair. Oh, what he wouldn't give to caress her neck and whisper sweet nothings in her ear! He would...
"Rioghnan. Are you listening to me?" Sage calmly asked, a little smile playing on her lips.
"I ask your forgiveness, My Princess" he stuttered. "I was just thinking"
"You are forgiven, my friend. Now, contact the Elders and hear what they have to say. I have something that needs my immediate attention. I doubt the information is correct but follow it up anyway."
"As you wish, my Lady" Rioghnan left the room and moved his beautifully sculptured body towards the Elders.
Like a teenage girl, Sage stuck her head out the door and stared at the striking commander. And as Sage's luck would have it, Rioghnan looked back. All he saw was eyes as big as saucers and a faint cry.
Shaking with laughter he walked on while trying to calm his bouncing heart down.
"Oh Sage, you idiot!" Sage shouted. She felt so silly behaving like a little girl.
"Now pull youself together!"
And with that Sage stormed out of her office towards Saira's room. Something about her behaviour was bothering Sage.
Something is seriously wrong and she is going to find out what it is.
