CHAPTER 9
Vappu smiled as she finished reading the letter.
Finally my plan is beginning to work! Liskin is on his way and there is nothing anybody can do to stop it!
She walked out of her room and down the passage. Only a few more minutes then the meeting with the elders would end. She had to wait for Saira to come. Vappu entered the little girl's bedroom and sat on a chair.
She started thinking about her mother. Oh how she hated her! Al those years of abuse and for what? Because her father mistreated her mother? What a stupid excuse to ruin your only child.
Saira ran into her room and came to standstill when she saw Vappu.
"How was the meeting?" Vappu asked
"I have the notes right here." Saira gave Vappu the papers with the childlike handwriting on.
Vappu walked up and down while reading the notes. Her anger grew with each step she took. She threw the notes on the ground and screamed.
"How dare they! They will not work me out of my own Kingdom. Those rotten elders. They will be the first to go!"
"Go where?" Saira asked
Vappu grabed her by the hair and yelled into her face "NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, BRAT!" She flung the poor girl to the side.
"Why did you hurt me" Saira cried
"Because I don't like you, worm. Your parents didn't like you and that is why they left you. I've told you every single day since they died. Nobody likes you"
"Sage loves me Vappu and y...ouch!"
Vappu had her by the throat and started lifting her up. Saira's feet dangled in the air.
"You sister only likes you because she's stupid" she snarled.
"Now if you say one word, I'll choke you and break your precious little neck. Do you understand me?"
Saira couln't breath let alone say something so she only nodded her head.
With that Vappu threw her against the wall and walked out the room, leaving behind her a little heart broken and confused.
A little heart so desperately yearning for a mother who loves her, she would do anything to please her.
