Coming home from my best friend Alex's house wasn't a long drive; about 10 minutes. His new house was smaller than the other one, but had a huge backyard. And in my opinion, was a fair trade and something I would be willing to give up. But Alex didn't think so.

After being there for about the whole day (from 10:30 a.m to 11:00 p.m), I thought my parents would be pissed at me and decided to go home. My parents had the same job: being police officers. They both worked the night shift, and it started at 8:00, so I'm in pretty good shape.

I stopped at a stop sign near my house. I barely pulled forward when a car hit mine. I remember hitting my head on something hard. Not long after, I hear an ambulance. I couldn't open my eyes, and an unwanted darkness came.

I opened my eyes with caution. I looked around the room. How did I get here?

"Hey Luke." A woman about in her 20's said.

"Who? Me?" I ask.

"Yes, you. Some people are here to see you." The woman let a man and a woman that look like they're in their 40's in the room. They were wearing weird clothes.

"Hey honey." The older woman said. She came over to me and pushed my black hair out of my face.

"Who are you people!?" I yell. My heart quickened.

"We're your parents, remember?" The man said.

"No! I don't remember!"

"This isn't good." The young woman said. She rushed out of the room and let in a man in about his 30's.

"I need everyone to get out." The 30 year old man said. I attempt to get up. "Except for you." He looks at me. I slump back into my bed.

After everyone left, he asks, "What's your name?"

"Um... that young woman said it was Luke. So it must be Luke."

He scribbled my answer down on his clipboard. "What are your parent's names?"

"I don't know."

More scribbles. "What are your best friend's name?"

"I don't know."

Even more scribbles.

"Are we done here?" I blurted.

"Guess so." There was saddness hidden in his voice. He left the room. A minute later, I heard crying outside my door. The man walked in again.

"We are going to have to do emergency surgery. We just got the results for your x-rays, and your skull is cracked and your memory is gone." He said. Then he put something in my arm that knocked me out.
