I was puzzled. Blaze looked like an atleate, a popular and important one at that. From exprence from my last 11 schools, popular guys usualy.... no never spend time with a keeps to herself, oddball girl like me. The teacher smiled. "Ah, Blaze. How kind of you. You can be her guide." Oh, just great. I thought. My guide is the rich jock. That'll draw some attention. Glancing at the two whispering girls, I saw they were glaring at me. "Well," The teacher clapped her hands. "We have no home work, and theres only five more minutes of class, so..... Just hang out and talk a while." The class cheered. "Hey, Blaze!" A muscular guy called from the room. "C'mon! I need to talk to ya!" Rolling his eyes, Blaze jumped out of his chair. I reached to get a book from my bag, when I noticed to two glaring girls next to me. One of them put her hand on my desk. "Lets just cut to the chase, Oak." She said my name with pure discust. "You have no right to waltz in here and... and just take Blaze!" "Oh, Im sorry." I retorted angrly. "I didint know he belonged to you. Maby nxt time you should write you'r name on him." I glared back. "Girls, is eveything okay?" The teacher called. "Yes, ma'am. I and Cass were just welcomeing our new best friend, Oak, to our school." The girl grinned. "Your so sweet." She smiled and turned away. The one named Cass looked at me vishosly. "Blaze doesint like you. He's doing this out of pity. I mean, look at you. Ugly back hair, creapy grey eyes. He feels bad. So just back off." And then, with a flick of their hair, they left. I looked to where Blaze was talking. He looked diffrent from the guy he was talking to. He was thin, long limed, and had semi-long black hair. The his friend had blonde hair, croped close, and was muscular and large. It seemed like they were arguing. Blazes jaw was set, and his arms were crossed as he listened to the other speek. They both glanced at me, then continued. Finaly, Blaze pushed the guy out of his way, looking really, really mad. Sitting at his desk, he looked away from me. After a while, though, he turned and gave me the same smile as before. "Um, that Brock. It was just.... guy problems. We were talking about when the next football practice will be." The next bell rang. "Oh, good. Our next class is....social studies. Then math, laungage lunch, and some others. Were in science." He smiled warmly. That Cass girl was right. I thought to myself. Blaze is popular. Hes doing this out of pity. just because he's showing me around doesint mean he likes me. Anyway, hanging out with him and being popular isint part of my mission. "Oak. Oak, hey you okay? You were spacing out." He waved his hand in front of my face. "Yah." I pushed his hand down. "Lets just go." The next two hours, I didint talk to him. As soon as the fourth bell rang, it was lunch. "Hey, Oak you okay? You seem.... sad. Why wont you talk to me?" Blaze looked upset. "Its nothing. So, lunch time?" "uh, yah." He scrached his head sadly. Soon we were out side, and Blaze looked around. "Um, one minute. Gotta go talk to my team. Be right back, kay?" Just as he left, the hazel eyed girl ran up."Oh my gosh, I cant beleave your hanging with Blaze! Oh, right. My names Hazel. Hazel Brown. Have you noticed how my first and last name are both colors? My mom named me Hazel because my eyes were hazel when I was born. And they still are! My last name is just a quinsedence. My hair is brown, though. Your Oak Willows, right? Your name doeint mach you much. Hey, arnt they both trees? Thats kinda cool. So, do like Blaze? He has a cool name too. It reminds me of a wolf on fire. ya, know. Blaze as in fire, and his last name is wolf, like a wolf? He's really popular." I balled my fists and resisted the earge to slam her head into the wall. "I'm back!" Blaze ran up. "Oh, hey Hazel. Come on, now."
