The day my life turned into a nightmare

I knew the day I was picked to fight in this arena that I was screwed. Each year they pick 50 girls and 50 guys and put them in two separate arenas. One person was picked from each state. The fifty boys and girls are split into groups of 5 and each girl gets a backpack with random weapons and supplies in it. I picked up my backpack and headed back to the other girls. I was the leader. I am 15 with nice long brown hair and average height for my age. Next was Megan the fearless killer of the group. Megan is 17 and one of the ugliest girls I have ever seen. Megan has huge mucked and could snap anyones neck. Next is the twins sophie and gabi. Sophie is the older one but they are both 14. The girls have long brown hair and I can not tell them apart. Last in our group is Melissa. Melissa is 11 and should not have to fight to the death. She has long blonde hair and is very short. She is the one I'm worried about. We all opened are backpacks and looked inside. Megan got a huge broadsword and 5 water bottles completely filled up. I looked in my own backpack and found a crossbow with 15 arrows, a short sword, and three walki-talkis. The twins found a short sword each and both had enough food to last us for four days. Lastly Melissa opened hers and found a small knife and a tent for four. When we were done an alarm sounded for us to each step through five doors. I went though mine and stepped into a bright forest. That's when the hell began.
