Lance and I were in my room. I lay on my bed, staring up at the ceiling. He sat at the edge of my bed, probably not sure if I was talking to him. I hadn't said a word on the drive here. My mind was exploding with questions.

"Well, what do you think it means?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"Huh?" Lance responded 5 seconds later, I'm not sure he even knew I was speaking to him.

"What you were saying at Pizarro's." I said impatiently.

"I-I don't know. I was just thinking it was odd."

"Has anyone ever actually tested my blood? I mean I don't seem to have a smell. Immortals don’t get it until they ascend, but humans always have a scent. Maybe October 18th isn't my birthday." I was getting way ahead of myself, but anything was possible.

"Don't get your hopes up." Lance said softly.

"Like you did..." I said under my breath.

Lance being his lycan self heard.

"Unfortunately," he said sorrowfully. "Rayne like I said before, I love you. This is just – It's just really hard for me to adjust. I'm sorry I've been acting like an ass."

"You're forgiven. Besides bad tempers come with your lycan package." I joked.

I sat up and pulled him down on the bed. Playing around with him should get my mind off of things for a while.

I made my way on top of him and he grinned. I kissed him slowly, deepening it every second. He moaned into it, moving his hands up my sides. He lifted my shirt and flipped me over, now he was on top of me. He kissed me harder, tossing my shirt to the side, reaching for the hook on my--.

"Get a room!" My sister screeched from the doorway.

Lance dropped his head into my chest and groaned.

"I am in my room." I told her like she was stupid.

Chace appeared behind her and I could've sworn I saw slight annoyance in his features, but if they were there I had no proof. Lance, probably hearing another person by the door, looked up. A smile came across his face.

"Yea, Lauraine. Close the door so we can get back to what we were doing." he said, eyes directed at Chace.

"So I guess you two do know each other." Chace said, referring to Lauraine and me.

"What gave it away?" I said in mock shock. "The last names?"

"Let's go Chace...to my room." Lauraine said, she grabbed his arm and closed my door.

Lance continued his initial goal and I asked him to stop.

"What's wrong?" he asked, looking disappointed.

"They're right down the hall." I said, pulling my shirt back on.

Lance kissed me again.

"Then we'll just be quiet." he said.

"Baby, some other time...okay?"

He sighed then proceeded to kiss me. I could do this.

15 minutes later...

I was out of breath and Lance's lips were red and puffy.

"We've gotta stop." he said, out of breath. "I don't know how much longer I can hold out."

I laughed then kissed him one more time. My top was gone again, but nothing progressed further than that. I pulled away from our kiss and his lips went to my neck.

Meanwhile...

*Chace POV*

This Lauraine chick was easy...In 15 minutes I was already putting my boxers back on, giving my self a mental pat on the back for a job well done.

"Poor Lance." Lauraine snickered.

"Why do you say that?" I asked, buttoning my jeans.

"Now that we're here he's not going to get any. She's weird about that stuff." Lauraine rolled her eyes. "I'm surprised Lance didn't just dump her on her birthday."

"I thought you two were sisters." I said.

"She's adopted. You know that. I could never be sisters with a human."

"I just don’t get girls." I said under my breath. I pulled my shirt on. "Well I'm gonna head home now." I said so Lauraine could hear.

"Need a ride?" she asked hopefully.

Nope, you already gave me one.

"Um, no it's cool. I live down the street." I said.

I opened her door and walked down the hall. I could hear Rayne's heart beating fast and her little giggles. I felt angry all of a sudden. Well, being the nice guy that I am, it would only be proper of me to say goodbye to her. Gosh, I sure hope I don't interrupt anything.

I opened the door to Rayne's room. There she was lying down on her bed...Her jeans and shirt on a heap on the floor, beside Lance's. He was trailing kisses down her stomach and she stifled some giggles. Just looking at her and hearing her alone was better than what just happened in Lauraine's room.

*Rayne's POV*

God, every time he did this it tickled. Lance began to move further down, then he placed his hands on the sides of my boy shorts, about to pull them down when I saw Chace by the door. I grabbed his hands and pulled them back up.

"Did you want something?" I asked, feeling a little awkward.

Lance groaned again. This time dropping his head into my – uh. A startled gasp escaped my lips and I pulled myself up, grabbing Lance's t-shirt and throwing it on.

"Um, yea, I'm leaving, so I just wanted to say bye."

"Do you mind getting rid of Lauraine for a couple of hours?" Lance asked with a smirk.

Chace walked off.

"I've gotta start my homework." I half-lied. I mean I had homework; I just didn't have to start it now.

Lance looked at me then sighed.

"Yea..." he said, getting up and pulling his pants on.

He gave me a slow kiss, then walked out, letting me keep his shirt. After I heard the front door close I turned on the TV.
