Novel By: Jelica

This novel is for a challenge I'm undertook from Mirjana. She gave me genre, type and point of view.
Fantasy,First person, novel.
to be honest I hoped for horror, but oh, well what to do.
Here goes the story:
A young half human half fairy has long made truce to the fact that the blood she carries in her vein doomed her, ever since she was born.

In a world where fairy hate for humans and everything that has a drop of human blood is great, how will things work out for a more human then fairy like Ellesmere. What will happen to her as she discovers the terrible secret?

One of my earliest recollections dates back from the age when I was two years old- a mere child at the beginning of life. It was a sound I'd never fail to remember even if I live to be on Earth for hundreds of years. I would be aware of it in all places,

A serene, calm sound clear as bell filled the air, luring me into sleep. I refuse to go along with that desiring to pay more attention to that soft sound.

A figure in the deep shadows I could not see profoundly snored, and there were footsteps on the floor. They could scarcely be heard for they were light. I waited in my cot when I saw it. It's not something you can disregard.

It was a lady bathed in pure light; parts of golden dust glowed around her head. Her hair was liquid fire. Her full ruby, red lips fractioned in a smirk. I inoffensively I looked upon her, chuckled a few times, before she warily extended her delicate hands towards me bracing me tightly into her arms.

I offered no resistance to this strange person. I felt safe there, not that I have not felt safe where I already was. Its just I felt as if I'll be safe for all eternity. Not a soul would ever have the courage to wound me.

As she carried me all the way through the door speaking softly, harmoniously expressions that should have place me to sleep, a figure in the dark murmured a bit and at that moment it all went pitch black.
