MEETING, LEARNING, RETURNING

Today was the meeting between the two other Vampire Angel Kings, the Angel Queen, the Vampire King, Kendal, Jason, Philly and me. I was nervous, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I wanted to get this meeting over with, learn all the laws and return home. I missed Ian so much. And I missed Olivia and Nate.
I stared out the window in the two bedroom room Philly and I were staying. I started to day dream about returning home and finally getting to spend time with everyone. I day dreamed about my family being alive and seeing their happy faces.
I must have been day dreaming for a while because I didn’t hear Philly entre the room with Jason and Kendal behind him.

“My Queen?” Jason said; he looked at Philly.

Philly walked over to me and looked me in the eyes, which made me stop day dreaming. He looked at Kendal and Jason.

“We will meet you there.” He said. Kendal and Jason walked out of our room.

“Corinne, are you okay?” Philly said.

I looked at him. “No.” I said and looked away.

“What is the matter?”

“I miss my family. I miss everyone at home. I just wanna go home.” I said through tears.

“Do you want to go home in a day and a half?” Philly smiled at me.

“Yes. I would love that Philly. But we can’t; have to learn all the laws and I have that meeting.”

“We have to do the meeting and I can teach you the laws. I know all of them and I can borrow the book of laws for you.”

“You would do that for me?”

“You are my Queen now. I can’t have my Queen sad and not in the right mind. So, yes, I would do that for you my Queen.”

“Philly, you don’t have to do that for me. I’m not a very good queen at all.” I looked away.

“You are just beginning your journey, Corinne. You don’t have to be a good queen right away. You found out that you lost your family only two days ago, you only turned into a VA three days ago, you have had a lot to deal with and your new life is starting out too good.”

“I’m not ready to be a queen though.”

“No one is ever ready to become a Queen or a King. They become a better King or Queen over time, Sweetie.”

“So, over time I will become a better Queen to all the VA’s?”

“Yes, Corinne, I’m sure you will make the perfect Queen for all of us. Now, we have a meeting to get too, so we must hurry because the Kings and Queen will be there.”

I got up and hugged Philly. “Thanks Philly.”

“What for?” Philly said, looking really confused.

“For being here and talking to me about everything, and teaching me too. You are a good friend, Philly.”

“It’s okay, Cor, always here for when you need.” Philly hugged me back.

We walked out of the room and then ran down to where we needed to be. I followed Philly to this massive hall. It was a brown bricked hall with some words on a sign that I didn’t know what it said cause it wasn’t in English.
We walked inside and it had black curtains over the windows; some more of the same writing on the walls that were on the sign.

“You’re here now.” Kendal said.

“Yeah, just had to talk about something, sorry.” I said.

“It’s okay let’s get you sat down and ready for introductions. They should be here in any minute.” Jason said.

They sat me up at the top of the table; they made Philly sit down the other end. I didn’t want to be that far away from Philly.

“Can Philly please sit up here near me?” I asked.

“I’m sorry my Queen but I am afraid he sits down this end.” Kendal said.

“No,” I demanded, getting angry, “I want him to sit near me.” I looked at Kendal.

“Don’t make her angry Kendal.” Philly said and walked up to the seat on my left.

“I’m sorry my Queen, I didn’t mean to make you angry.” Kendal said.

“Don’t do it again.” I said, calmly.

“You had flames in your eyes.” Philly said, look smug.

“That’s cool.” I replied and smiled.

I felt bad that I got angry at Kendal. But sometimes I would have to get angry.
I was chatting with Philly when the door opened and I saw Regan, followed by four men and a female.

“Vampire Angel Queen.” Regan said.

I looked at him and said “Nice to see you again Vampire King.”

I got up and went over to Regan and the others. I was going to have to get used to having speed. Philly was at my side.

“Corinne, I mean, my Queen, this is this is the Angel Queen, Lucanna.” Philly said.

“Nice to meet you.” I said with a smile.

“Nice to meet you too, Vampire Angel Queen.” Queen Lucanna said.

“This is Theo and Dominic. They are the Vampire Angel Kings.” Philly said.

“Finally get to meet the lady who killed that asshole Evan; great to finally have a Queen.” Dominic said.

“I do not know whether to say thank-you or that’s okay.” I laughed.

“I am glad to meet you, me lady.” Theo said.

“And I am glad to meet you too, King Theo.” I smiled

“Let’s all sit and get this meeting started, my Queen still has a lot to learn.” Philly said.

Lucanna had long blonde hair with bright blue eyes; she had the most beautiful set of wings I had seen in my old and new life. She was a head shorter than me.
Theo was tall, muscular, and had jet black hair that sat just under his shoulder blades; he was taller than anyone in this room.
Dominic was really handsome, he had dark brown hair the colour of my hair; his eyes were a grey-blue colour, and he was a head taller than me.

We sat down at the table. Regan sat on my right with his two mean looking body guards behind him standing on both sides. I stared at them, they looked like humans. I could smell something strange; it was making my mouth water and my throat burn.

“What is it Queen Corinne?” Regan asked.

“Are they humans?” I asked.

“They are half human, half vamp.” Regan said.

“Can I talk to you and Philly for a quick minute? Outside?” I asked Regan and Philly.

“We can do that.” Regan said, with Philly nodding with agreement.

“Excuse us for a minute. I just need a quick word with Vampire King Regan and my Vampire Angel second man.” I said loud and clear, “Can your body guards’ stay in here please, Regan?”

“Sure.” Regan said, looking at me strange.

We dashed outside; I felt light headed when I stopped.

“What does it mean when I can smell something that is strange and my throat burns?!” I rushed the words out.

“You can smell the blood.” Philly said.

“And the burning is what we call a sign of craving blood.” Regan said.

“But… But… But I don’t need the blood?” I was getting confused. I sat down.

Philly came over and sat next to me, while Regan paced back and forth in front of me.

“There have been about ten cases of this, Philly. And we have been there every time.” Regan said.

“What is going happen? Am I going to kill? Am I not a VA?” I said, starting to worry.

“Corinne, love, you need to calm down. You are not going to kill; I can tell you that right now, you are still a VA; we will tell you everything after this meeting. We will meet at the stable’s pond. Right after but we all must go different ways. Understand?” Regan said.

“Yes, you’re not bring your body guards right?” I asked.

“No I will not bring them, just for you they will stay behind.” Regan said.

“We will meet than.” Philly said and we walked back inside.

I put a smile on my face before I said “Sorry about that, shall we start?”

“Let’s start about what happened with Evan.” Theo said.

“Corinne?” Philly said

“Oh, yeah, um,” I looked at everyone who was looking at me, “What happened was, Evan came to us and tried taking me to be his queen and told me if I didn’t go, I would take the hard road. I said no and then he sent his men onto me, I got really angry and a wall of flames went up around me, my boyfriend and my new family. Then Philly made me smile and the wall went down,” I paused when everyone laughed at the part that Philly made me smile, “Evan said that I couldn’t keep the wall up forever and then that made me more angrier than what I already was, and a stake got formed with the flames and went straight through him.” I finished and looked at everyone who had smiles on their faces.

“You have the affinity for fire?” Dominic gasped.

“She just doesn’t have the affinity for fire. She has affinities for fire, water and air, and she has death visions.” Philly said.

Gasp’s came from around the table.

“Three affinities and death visions?” Lucanna said.

“She is rare.” Theo said.

“She will be one of the best VA Queens.” Regan said.

“I think my Queen will be in this spot for a while” Philly said.

“Yes she will.” Jason said.

“I’ve seen a lot of Kings and Queens in my time and she by far is the best on yet.” Kendal said.

“I am still sitting here.” I said.

“Sorry, love.” Theo said.

We spoke about some of the laws, what happens when there is some who sis due to change; when someone didn’t make the change and then it came to relationships with humans.

“A relationship with a human can be complicated. It does not always mean good times. It can be really hard to,” Regan started as he walked around the table and the rest of us, “erase the craving for the blood. But being an Angel or even a VA, the relationship is easy going and fun to keep. But there has been a handful of VA’s who have craved the blood.” He looked passed me.

Regan went on about a relationship with a human. And how hard it can be for a Vampire and sometimes in my case a Vampire Angel. It was about quarter to two in the morning by the time we finished the meeting. We said good byes to the Queen and the VA Kings.
Regan looked at me and Philly as we were standing next to each other talking about some laws of being a VA. Regan nodded at us, so I took the queue and said to Philly, “I am going to go and lay down, please do not let anyone disturb me. I want some alone time okay?”

“Yes, my queen, I’ll make sure of it.” Philly smiled because he knew I didn’t want him to call me his queen.

I walked out of the hall and head in the direction of the room I was staying in. I heard Philly say to Jason, Kendal and Regan, “Corinne has gone to lie down. Do not disturb her, you all know what she is capable of now and Corinne at the moment is like a fire cracker.”

I heard okay’s come from everyone. Once I heard Philly say that I ran to the room I was staying in and put a ‘Do not disturb’ sign on my door. I shut my door and ran down to the stables. When I got to the stables I saw Philly and Regan standing by the pond.

“Regan.” I said looking at him, “Philly.” I also said and looked at him too.

“Corinne.” They said at the same time.

“Okay let’s get started. I want to understand why I am like this.” I said.

“Okay, the thing is that you are craving blood is, now this is what we think,” Regan started.

“Is because we think that because you have four affinities which include your death visions. You are going to ran out of energy and eventually dry up and die. But your body wants you to have blood because it will keep you going as where food with do very little for you.” Philly finished the sentence.

“So, I am craving blood because I have the affinities for fire, water, air and on top of that I have the death vision. Which will take my energy a lot so my body wants blood to keep me strong so I don’t die?” I said, trying to make everything clear.

“Yes, that is right. You will hunt once a month because that is what will keep you strong.” Regan said.

“I only have to hunt once a month. For how much blood though?” I asked Regan.

“You will need a top of five bodies. It will be enough blood to keep you going for a month or even more.” Regan said.

I looked at Philly. Than back to Regan.

“You’re going to have to teach me how to hunt.” I said to Regan.

“I will teach you or Philly can.” Regan said.

“Excuse me?” I said confused, “Did you just say Philly?

“Yes he did Corinne.” Philly didn’t look at me. “Do you remember when we first met and I had to go off and do that ‘thing’?”

“Yeah I do. And Philly do not look away from me. It is okay.” I said.

“Well that was the last time I went hunting. Ian, Olivia and Nate know, but you were the only one that didn’t know. Ian didn’t want me to tell just yet but since you are going through the same thing I am going through now; I can tell you and teach you.” Philly said and looked at me.

“Okay so now what?” I said.

“We will get you home. I will travel with you and Philly. We tell Ian, Nate and Olivia. You will study the book of laws for one hour than we teach you how to hunt.” Regan said.

“You sound like my dad!” I laughed at Regan.

“Sometimes I gotta sound like a dad.” Regan smiled.

“We have to go pack and get into running clothes.” Philly said.

Before we went I had a vision. I saw a girl and two boys walking down the street, they walked passed an alley and then got dragged down the alley. The girl screamed but her screamed stopped straight away and the two guys put up a fight. Then I saw myself with flames in my eyes. I saw Philly, who looked sexy when he was in hunting mode and I saw Regan with a devilish smile.

“Death Vision?” Regan asked.

“Yeah it was weird. We were all out hunting.” I said.

“It’s normal, Sweetie.” Philly said.

Philly was acting weird, we had gotten close over the last couple of days and I was liking him more. It seem like I was going to have to choose between Philly and Ian.
Philly and I would be hunting together, he would be teaching me about the rules, he would be explaining the rules I won’t be able to understand. Ian was going to thinking something was wrong when there wasn’t. It was starting to look like I was going to be leaving Ian’s home to come and live at the Palace as it would be the only place I would be able to live.

I didn’t know what was going to happen when I got home, I had so much going on. From turning into a VA, becoming Queen of the VA’s, having to learn the book of laws and having learn how to hunt. My life was starting of harder than I thought it would.

I ran off to go get stuff ready when I heard Philly and Regan talking about something but I couldn’t quite make out what they were talking about I kept running. I turned the corner and the next thing I know I was on my back and Philly standing over me.

“What was that for?” I looked at Philly confused.

“Lesson one on hunting. You have to be on top of you game, Corinne. You must know your surroundings, hear all the sounds. And expect the unexpected.” Philly smiled and ran off.

“You asshole.” I laughed, “Is that what you boys were saying before?”

“Yes!” Philly laughed, still making a run for it.

I kept running, I was listening when I heard a noise I stopped. I looked around, I saw something move in the forest behind the palace. I crept forward, not making a noise with my shoes. I saw it move again. I couldn’t hear a heartbeat, and it was moving fast. I raced after whatever it was, still keeping quiet. I was just behind it when I jumped on it and it landed on it’s back.

“Ouch!” It said. It sounded like a girl.

“Get up!” I growled.

The voice was unfamiliar. I had to be on guard, and Philly’s voice went through my head. ‘Expect the unexpected’. I stood straight with my arms crossed across my chest.

“Who are you?” I said, sounding like a queen.

“Question is who are you?” She said, not very polite.

“I am the Queen. And I’m asking who you are!” I said getting angry. “Philly!” I yelled.

“Yes?” Philly said.

As soon as Philly was at my side, the girl took off.

“After her!” I said.

Philly and I ran after her.

“Let’s split up. Call for Regan. I have no idea who it is. She or he must be a no one.” Philly said.

“Okay, just get her!” I said getting angry. “Regan! In the forest behind the palace, we have a girl on the run and we don’t know who it is!” I said, loud enough for Regan to hear me.

I kept running at full speed, I could hear her breathing, and her feet touching the floor. I heard Philly making a growling sound out of anger. I heard my name. I looked behind me and there was Regan, Theo and Dominic. They caught up to me.

“What is going on?” Theo asked.

“I was going for a run and I heard something in the forest. I tackled her and she wouldn’t tell me who she was. I called out for Philly and as soon as Philly showed up, she ran. Philly and I then took off after her.” I said to all three men.

“We have to get her, let’s spilt up.” Dominic said.

We all spilt up and went fast after her. I caught up to her and was in arm’s length of her, so I jumped. I tackled her; I picked her up by the back of her hoodie. I called out the boys and waited for them to come. I waited for about a minute till all the boys were at my sides.

“I’ll take her back to the palace.” Theo said.

“Theo can do a put to sleep kind of spell thing.” Dominic said to me.

“Oh okay. Here take her.” I said.

We all ran back to the palace and went to a room the only had a door. The room had a disgusting colour on the walls. There was a chair in the middle of the room that looked like it was used to question people in. Dominic put the girl in the chair and locked her hands and ankles to the chair. Regan walked over and took the hood of the hoodie off the girl.

“Oh my.” I said.

She wasn’t pretty. She was ugly. She had horrible hair, which I didn’t know if it was grey or brown, her skin looked like she didn’t bathe. And she had a smell to her that I couldn’t pick at all.

“Dominic, wake her up please.” I said.

“Yes, me lady.” Dominic said.

“What am I going to do when she wakes?” I said.

“It will come naturally, Corinne.” Theo said.

I nodded at Theo and then at Dominic. I saw the girl wake up and try to get away.

“You will not be getting away anytime soon.” I said.

“What are you doing to me!?” She screamed.

“Who are you?” I asked.

“An outsider.” She said.

“Tell me what you name is Outsider.” I demanded.

“Lilly. My name is Lilly.” Lilly said.

“What are you doing on my land?”

“Looking for a way to get away from the outlands.”

“Why did you come here?” I said, getting angry.

“I told you!” She growled.

“That is no reason, you came here for something. What is it!?” I said.

Philly grabbed my arm. “Think of peace, think of water. It will make you anger go.”

I did what he said and it worked.

“I will ask again, why are you here? The real reason.” I asked.

“I got told to come here and snoop your land.” Lilly said.

“Why?” I said.

“Because all of the outsiders are sick of the out lands.”

“You have been there for how long?”

“We have been there for over five hundred years. Don’t you think it’s time we come back to the kingdom?” Lilly asked.

“I am going to have to talk to the other Vampire Angel Kings, the Vampire King and the Angel Queen.” I said, and walked away.

“Where you going? Am I just meant to sit here while you have a meeting?” Lilly screamed at me.

I turned around and a growl came up from deep in my throat. I saw Lilly fear me. I turned and walked out the room with Dominic, Theo, Philly and Regan.

“I’ll get my body guards to guard the room. No one will go in and no one will go out.” Regan said.

“Thank you, Vampire King.” I said and kept walking.

I walked all the way to the meeting room. I called for Kendal.

“Kendal, go get the Angel Queen.” I told her.

She nodded and ran off. I saw Jason. “Jason, get drinks for everyone including Lucanna.”

“Yes, your majesty.” He said and took off.

I was feeling like a Queen and I forgot about everything for a while. I waited for Lucanna to get her so I could start. I looked at all the men in the building and smiled. I was in a bigger role than any of them, at this time. I knew this queen stuff was coming to me.

“Queen Lucanna is here.” Kendal said, and walked out the room.

“Lucanna, nice to see you again.” I said, with a smile.

“And you too, Corinne. Always a pleasure.” Lucanna said.

“Okay let’s get this all sorted.” I started, “We have an outsider here in the kingdom. Her and the other outsiders want back in. I need someone to tell me what happened and why they are on the outland.”

“They got banished from here,” Lucanna started, “They were trouble. They did everything in their power to get the King and Queen to go out of the palace so they could steal from them. They all had it good until the King and Queen caught on to what they were doing, the King and Queen had enough of what they were doing, so they called them to the outlands and told they were banished and to never return again.”

“Banished? Then why is she here to snoop?” I asked.

“She could be lying to you.” Lucanna said.

“They are not trustworthy, Corinne.” Theo said.

“We cannot let them in this kingdom.” Philly said.

“I think we should summon them to death.” Dominic said.

“It would be the only way to stop them from trespassing.” Regan said.

“Are they dangerous?” I asked everyone.

“They can be.” Lucanna said, “You cannot let them back in this land. Death sentence to them will be the right choice.”

“I must summon them to death then. How am I going to do that?” I asked.

“Regan can get his men and we get more VA’s together to kill them all.” Theo said.

“Then it must be down.” I said.

“What about Lilly? The outsider locked here.” Philly asked.

“I want to question her again. I wanna know more about them.” I said.

“Are you sure that is the right thing to do?” Lucanna asked.

“Yes. I think it is.” I replied.

“When do we go?” Theo asked.

“I want it done by dawn tomorrow. No later.” I said.

“Okay that can be done. I must go and get some men together.” Theo said, with Dominic and Regan nodding in agreement.

“Philly come with me.” I said and walked out.

Philly and I walked down the path to where we were staying. I had so much on my mind.

“We need to get Nate, Olivia and Ian here.” I said.

“I will make the call.” Philly said and pulled out his phone.

“Thank you.” I whispered.

“Philly! How are you and Corinne?” I heard Ian say.

“There has been a problem. The outsiders have come back. You and the rest need to come here today.” Philly said.

“We will be there in a few hours.” Ian said.

“See you then.” Philly said and hung up.

“Ian, Olivia and Nate will be here soon. I need to still talk to you about this whole problem.” Philly said as he walked into the room.

I sat down on the bed. And looked at Philly.

“Some of us may not make it out of this soon to be battle. I need you to understand that. And we can’t protect everyone at the same time. We can protect up for four people at a time. And we will have to go hunt before we decide to take battle.” Philly said.

“As soon as Ian, Nate and Olivia get here we will hunt.” I said, “Oh and after we tell them that I need blood and stuff.”

Philly smiled, and I smiled back at Philly. I decided it was time for a shower. I got up and grabbed two new towels and went for a shower. I was in the shower for a while, I didn’t think of anything while I was in the shower. I felt like everything disappeared for a while. But as soon as I turned the water off and it all came back. I walked out in a towel to my closet that my suit cases were in. I pulled out a pair of my underwear, pants and a tank top and got dressed. I didn’t notice that Philly was on the bed reading a book, he looked like his head was buried in the pages.

“Are you buried in that book?” I laughed.

“Oh what? Sorry got interesting.” Philly smiled.

“I thought that was the case. How long til Ian and that get here?”

“Give it another five minutes and they should be here. With the speed they ran, they will be here in no time.”

“Must run really fast then.” I smiled.

“We better go. Regan’s men are here. And Theo and Dominic’s men will almost be here.” Philly said as he put a book mark in his book.

“Okay, race you?” I said as I put my hair up.

“Let the best man or woman win.” Philly winked.

“You’re on Philly.” I opened the door and let him walk out first.

“We need to go to the paddock that is where we are all meeting. And Olivia will be able to tell the two boys.”

“Ready.. GO!” I yelled and started running.

I got round the corner and down a straight path when Philly ran past me saying “Catch me if you can, slow poke.”

I pushed myself even harder. I could see Philly.

“I will catch you, sir.” I yelled out, laughing.

We were neck and neck when we reached the paddock. But Philly beat me by a foot. I looked at him with a funny look on my face.

“I win. Better luck next time, sweetheart.” He said, touch my cheek.

“I will win next time.” I smiled.

We walked over to where Regan was standing in front of about ten men.

“VA Queen and Second Hand Man.” Regan said.

“Regan, you handsome Vampire.” I laughed.

“Let me introduce you to my men.” Regan said.

“Let’s.” I said, smiling at all the men who smiled back at me.

Regan asked his men to stand in a line, “We will go from left to right. Men; when I say your name take a step forward for me.”

All the men nodded. “We have; Joey, Luke, Jack, Maison, Raymond, Nicholas, Jeff, Jeremy, Ethan and David.”

“Hello men, how are we all?” I said.

Goods and fines came out of the men. I look at them all one by one. I couldn’t believe how bulky all these men were. I thought I must have been a Vampire thing.

“Men; start training. I will bring the VA Queen round to meet all of you.” Regan said.

“Corinne, I will be back in five minutes. Ian, Olivia and Nate will be here in ten minutes. I would like to greet them personally.” Philly said.

“Okay Philly.” I smiled bigger than I ever had before.

“Let’s get this started.” Regan said. I nodded.

We walked round to where Joey was.

“This is Joey.” Regan said.

“Nice to meet you, ma’am.” Joey said in a Texas accent.

“Nice to meet you too, Joey.” I replied.

“This is Luke.” Regan said.

“Nice to meet you, VA Queen.” Luke said.

“Please call me Corinne.” I said.

“These two young men are our new Vampires, Jack and Jeremy.” Regan said.

They both smiled at me and I smiled back in return.

“We have here, Maison, David and Jeff.” Regan kept walking as I gave a quick smile to the boys, “And here we have Raymond.”

I smiled. “And last but not least Ethan.” Regan said.

Regan and I walked around the men as they were training. I watched the men as the trained. I look over to see three of other men join the group and Theo walk behind them. I smiled at Theo.

“Regan, will there be children with the outsiders?” I asked.

“No, when we get changed, we cannot have children.” Regan said.

“Oh just making sure that there would be no kids.” I replied.

I walked around the men by myself. Thinking about the game plan. What will happen and hoping I have no death visions. I was in my own little world when someone picked me up from behind.

“Put me down!” I growled.

“Sorry, sweetheart.” Ian said. I turned around and saw him.

“IAN!” I squealed. “Oh my god! Ian!” I jumped into his arms.

“There’s the hello I want.” Ian smiled.

“I missed you so much!”

“I missed you too, Hunny.”

I hugged Ian and saw Philly over his shoulder. He looked at me and gave me a half smile, then turned and walked away. I felt sad when I saw that. Philly and I had gotten so close over the last few days. And too see him look like that when I hugged Ian was heart breaking.

“So, what have you learnt so far?”

“Philly taught me how to saddle up and ride a horse, he taught me to expect the unexpected. I learnt something else about myself too.”

“Good or bad?”

“One of them is good and the other I do not know If it is good or bad.”

“Tell me what the good one is.”

“I just not have the affinity for fire but I have it for water and air. How cool is that?”

“That is awesome babe.” Ian said.

“I need to talk to Philly about the other. Do you know where is gone?” I said, looking round.

“I saw him walk over there. Just go find him and hurry back, Sweetheart.” Ian smiled than kissed me.

“I will.” I smiled and took off.

I ran everywhere looking for Philly. I didn’t find him in the buildings or in the pretty garden that Kendal grew herself. The one place I should of looked first was the stables. I ran down passed the paddock and over to the stables. I looked in every stable. And he wasn’t there.

“Philly, where are you?” I whispered, as I sat down on the stable’s floor.

“What are you doing here, My Queen?” Philly asked me as he came out from behind the stable.

“I’ve been looking for you. Where did you go?” I asked, looking straight at him.

“I can’t be around when you and Ian are together.” Philly looked away.

I walked up to him. “Why Philly?”

“Because, Corinne, I just can’t. I used to be able to but now I can’t.” He walked out the stables and climbed up a tree.

I walked out and jumped as high as I could and grabbed a branch. I didn’t stop until Philly stopped.

“No one will hear us up here cause of the wind and if you make more we can have a private conversation.” Philly said.

I did what he said and put more wind going around. “Why can’t you be around when me and Ian are together? You’re my first man, no one is going to take that spot away from you not even Ian.”

“Because over the last few days, I’ve gotten to know you. I’ve gotten to see you grow into this really beautiful Queen.”

“But what do you mean?”

“Corinne, I am falling head over heels for you. I know it sound corny but it’s true. Spending all this time with you, made me see a different light about you.”

“Philly, you know we can’t be together.”

“I know that’s why I can’t really be around when you two are together. I want you, Corinne. There’s something different about you. You are different to all the girls that have ever taken my eye.”

“Philly, I-I can’t be with you. I feel bad enough. I’m sorry, darling.” I tried to smile.

“I know, my Queen.” Philly said as he reached over and pulled me in for a hug, “Maybe one day we will be able to be together.”

“Maybe one day.” I smiled at Philly. I looked into his eyes, his gorgeous blue eyes made me melt. I wanted to be with Philly but I also wanted to be with Ian. Why was I feeling like this? Ian was the one I wanted. But Philly, his deep voice, his blue eyes, his everything was taking me in. My life was being hard.

“Come on, we need to tell Ian, Nate and Olivia about me. And the new stuff.” I said to Philly breaking away from his eyes.

“Yeah we better.” Philly said.

“Are we okay now?” I asked Philly.

“Yeah we are. I’ll stand by closely even if you and Ian are all touchy and stuff.” Philly said and kissed me on the cheek.

We both jumped down. I hugged Philly and whispered “Expect the unexpected, Philly.”

And ran off, I knew Philly was right behind me. I quickly turned and when I saw Philly ran past I ran out so I was behind him. We got to the paddock and I jumped and tackled Philly. I laughed at Philly.

“I win. Better luck next time, Hunny.” I said with a wink.

“I’ll get you back, it’s one all now.” Philly called out.

“We need to talk,” I said to Ian, “It’s nothing bad, it’s all to do with me.”

Philly got Olivia and Nate; we walked to the pretty garden that Kendal grew herself; everyone sat down even Philly. I stood and started pacing, I looked at Philly, who nodded as if to say it’s okay.”

“First of all I wanna start with how freaking much I missed you guys,” I smiled, “Second of all, I don’t just have an affinity for fire and these death visions, but I have affinities for water and air, but Earth is Philly’s thing” I paused and looked at Philly, the hard part was coming, “And last thing, I need human blood in my system to keep me strong, due to having three affinities and death visions will suck me dry.” I finished.

I looked at Olivia who smiled in acceptance of my new things, and Nate did the same but Ian couldn’t look at me. I didn’t know why; he was looking at me the whole time until I said I need blood.

“Well; I accept that  you need the blood, Corinne, and I think I speak for Nate when I say we are excited that you have the new affinities.” Olivia said, smiling big.

I looked at Nate, “Do you accept the fact that I need blood to survive?”

“Corinne, of course I do, I accept Philly, and if I didn’t accept that about you, that would be wrong.”  Nate came and hugged me.

“What about you Ian? Do you accept that about Corinne?” Philly asked.

Ian didn’t say a word to anyone if he did or not. I didn’t know what he was thinking. I looked at Olivia, hoping she would be able to tell me what he was thinking.

“I can’t get in, Sweets.” Olivia said.

“It’s okay. Um, can I have a word with Ian by himself please?” I asked Nate, Philly and Olivia.

Nate and Olivia nodded and walked away. Philly walked passed me and whispered “Expect the unexpected.” And walked away.

“Ian, what is the problem?” I asked.

“I don’t have any problem.” Ian said, in an angry tone.

I heard what Philly said, expect the unexpected. “There is something wrong Ian. You were all fine about the affinities, but as soon as I said I need to have blood to keep me strong you looked away and you are now talking to me like crap.”

“Have you ever thought that maybe I don’t want to love someone who has to kill to survive?” Ian scowled at me.

“What are you trying to say? That you don’t want to be with someone who needs blood to survive!” I yelled.

I started getting angry I could feel the fire inside of me.

“That is what I am saying. Why be with someone who has to kill to survive?”

The fire inside of me was getting hotter but Ian still didn’t stand down, I stared straight at Ian who was staring straight at me. The flames started building around me, I could see them, I could see Ian still standing there. I felt a hand touch me, I looked at who touch me. Philly and Regan were standing either side of me.

“Corinne, think of water, think of air.” Regan said.

“Calm yourself, Corinne.” Philly said.

I thought of air and water. The fire disappeared and I felt water round my ankles and I felt air blowing my hair around.

“Ian, you should not make her angry, she is still not able to control her affinities yet, she is still young and still in training for them. You of all VA’s should know that.” Regan growled.

“She is nothing to me now. If she needs blood to survive, she is not welcome at my home. Her stuff will be here in a couple of days. She must stay here and not return to my home.” Ian said.

“I thought you were better than that Ian.” Philly said.

“You accepted the fact of Philly needing blood, but you can’t accept Corinne?” Olivia asked.

“Having one person in the house wanting blood is enough not two.” Ian said to Olivia.

I couldn’t take it anymore. He couldn’t accept me of needing blood.

“I don’t want you near this palace if I am here. You need help, find your own way to get help. I am in no help of you anymore Ian. You broke my heart, now I will break yours.”

I walked away and not looking back. I heard Olivia scream at Ian. I heard growls coming deep from Regan’s throat.

“Regan, Philly, Olivia, leave him, come with me, we have stuff to do.” I said and kept walking.

Regan, Philly and Olivia caught up with me. I didn’t want to talk about what just happened. I caught believe what just happened. Ian not wanting me cause I need blood to survive. It was hard cause I thought I loved him but maybe I was just blinded by him.

“Don’t worry about hi, Corinne. If he can’t accept the fact that you are going to need blood to survive, he doesn’t deserve you at all.” Olivia said.

“I know. I just can’t get my head around the fact that he can’t accept me but he can for Philly. I just think it’s wrong.” I said.

“At this point and time you do not need someone like that to hold you back, Vampire Angel Queen.” Regan said.

“Maybe I just woke up to seeing that Ian was not the one for me Vampire King.” I said.

I could see a little bit of happiness in Philly. Maybe Philly was the one for me that is why it happened. I started getting a vision; I stopped dead in my track.

I saw Joey and Ethan fighting an outsider; I saw another outsider coming up behind the two Vampire boys. I tried to stop the vision but it kept going, I saw the outsider attack the Vampire boys from behind, I saw a stake go through both of them and I saw the fear in their eyes because they were dying. And then my vision stopped.

“Corinne, what is it?” I heard Philly say.

“Ethan and Joey. They need to watch their backs during this battle.” I whispered out.

“You had a vision about my two Vampire boys?” Regan sounded worried.

“Yeah, I did. I’m sorry Regan.” I said.

“Why be sorry, love? You just had a vision. It will keep us on the top of our game.” Regan said.

We kept walking down to the paddock, when one of the Vampire boys came running.

“What is it, Jeremy?” Regan asked.

“Master, I got told to get you and the Vampire Angel Queen, the Vampire Angel Kings are here with their men, and the Angel Queen is here with some of her main ladies.” Jeremy said.

“Thank you Jeremy.” Regan said, “Go tell them we are on our way. We are going to hunt first, tell them that to please.”

“Yes, Master.” Jeremy said, he bowed to Regan and then ran off.

“Before we go; we must get you to hunt. You will need the blood.” Regan said.

“Okay, we’ll go now. We can’t be that long. Two people that is it okay?” I said.

“Two will do for now.” Regan said and took off.

I looked at Philly and we both ran off after Regan. We ran until we got to a village. Regan stopped down an alley way. I looked at Philly whose face expression change into a hunter.

“First step, Corinne, be quiet, and do not make noise. Take silent steps. When you see you prey, use your speed, you have to grab them and snap their neck before they make a noise.” Regan said.

“Watch.” Philly said.

I watched Philly take silent steps and grab three people. A girl and two men. He snapped the necks in less than two seconds. I heard their neck break and watched the bodies fall to the ground.

“Just like that?” I asked.

“Just like that. Now feed.” Philly said.

I watched Regan pick up one of the men and bit his wrist than his neck than his leg. I smelt the blood and then I felt myself change into a hunter hunting his prey. I grabbed the girl and sat on the ground. I moved her so she was sitting in between my legs. I bit her neck and let the blood flow through to me. The blood tasted delicious. I sucked the girl dry and I didn’t get a drop of blood on me.

“You look like a pro, Corinne.” Philly said.

“Um, thanks.”

I grabbed another person and snapped their neck just like Philly did and drained them dry. Philly and Regan had finished before I had and were chucking the bodies down a hole.

“Fangs away, Corinne.” Regan said.

“How am I meant to do that?” I asked.

“Shut your mouth and then put your tongue to your fangs. They will go straight up.” Regan said.

“Okay done. We need to get back. See you boys there.” I said and ran off.
