Mini Chapter Update #1 (Awake)I awoke slowly, my eyes opening to watch a pale ceiling.

Mini Chapters Update #1 (Awake)

The guest room? How did I get here?...If I remember correctly: FLASHBACK WARNING.

I closed the door lightly shutting it against the unfriendly darkness as my bow and arrows slid from my fingers. No sleep. I can’t.

Coffe is essential. Now.

I nodded at my own idea my eyes setting on the kitchen…and completely ignoring…orange juice was it?

MINI FLASHBACK OVER

“Ow” I winced remembering the slip.

“Owwwww…..” Then the fall of course, yet even the throbbing that rushed through my nerves from my head didn’t distract me from my thoughts.

That dream. I actually remembered it clearly. It was rare but every small detail was clear to me…the conversation was repeating through my mind. It scared me though. Scared me a great deal.

I had always wanted to know, always wanted to solve the puzzle of my own human mind. Why did this happen to me? I always asked. Why did I have to see these things? Now I wished I never would have asked them.

I wished I never would have talked to that black figure…or that figure on the horse.

They were the same people. Both of them and that black monster, everything I saw in my illusions was him and because of him. Now my own assumptions confused me, but I trusted them with all of my heart. I trusted them because I knew I was right.

That person was the cause of all of this…they were there but not there, they were everywhere, but then again nonexistent, but I knew who they were now. They didn’t have real name like Kiran or Jalyn. They…well better said as he…were untouchable. Found by science but never seen by it, he was the very essence of that plague that we often saw manifest out fellow man. We thought they were crazy-but they were the ones with pure minds, powerful minds, controlled minds…they were the ones who could hear him speak and speak back to him.

That was the first sign we ever saw of this disease.

We saw them talk to the air-babble like mad men.

We took them away to institutes, and tied them up tightly.

Yet that’s all this plague needed was restraint for its victims, that’s all it needed was its prey’s mind to snap.

Because he was a predator, a monster of what was there and not there.

He knew us all, but we never knew him.

He was a disease, a condition, a state of mind, a function, a solid, an untouchable, he was the essence of what we had always called insanity. He was Insanity.

They left their bad, bad world, said their goodbyes

They stared too long into silvering eyes

I see you watching me now, I’m willing to share

There’s still room, I dare you-continue to stare
