I never liked the water much. Especially the ocean. The waves were harsh, the water murky; it was all eerie to me. I mean, how did anyone really know what was down there? For all we knew the things that made up our worst nightmares could be lurking in the depths of the ocean. Every time I think of swimming, I envision the act of drowning. The image of looking up towards the surface of the water from beneath it, as you try to breakthrough. The sun reflects off the surface, producing a ball of light, much like the white light at the end of a tunnel. Heaven, yet too far away. A travesty. And that light gets further and further out of reach as you sink deeper into the endless depths. You close your eyes at last, in acceptance. But the water, the water has other plans. Next thing you know, you're opening your eyes to the blue sky, to the sand on your back. Only now you're confused. Because from the beach, the sea would appear calm. Quiet, as if to contain its secrets.
Author's Note: So I've been working on this for while; needs some tweaking here and there. It'll be a slow start but i promise if you stick it out, it's worth it. I based it off of Twilight and the Vampire Diaries but NO, it is NOT about vampires. This story is about a different type of creature, one that often gets overlooked by the Jacob Blacks and Stephen Salvatores but is none the less terrifying. Please stay tuned and give me some feedback :)
