Prologue
My life is incredibly dull when I really think about it. Most of my time is spent either on Xbox talking to friends or on the computer playing games. It’s not all bad though; I rather enjoy playing with my best online friends. It’s always a good time when I’m with those guys especially all the inside jokes we share with each other. But enough about them for the moment, this is my story. My name is Lanx and I was born with a disease that has taken my ability to walk. My main form of transportation is a power wheel chair, a super nice fancy one. Anyway I live with my family and have a few non Xbox friends. I also attend community college where I’m currently working my way to an associate’s degree but I don’t quite know what I want to be yet exactly. In personality I am not very outgoing, kind of shy, somewhat funny, and very considerate to those I care about. In looks I’m fairly average, not really muscular nor really fat. I have brown eyes and dark brown spiky hair. I’m also kind of a nerd who finds joy in science fiction, fantasy, action, anime, videogames, you get the point. (Also not too good with the ladies). Nothing particularly great about me, I’m just a normal nerdy handicapped boy who has a pretty uninteresting life…until I met the blue-haired girl. Then everything changed forever.
Chapter 1: The Blue-Haired Girl
Well, it was just another ordinary day. I woke up late after gaming all night with my friends. Moving to the edge of my bed, I got dressed, climbed into my power wheelchair and washed up, before finally taking the elevator to the kitchen for a bite to eat. The rest of my day would be the same as usual; college classes, video games, and occasionally spending time with the family. You know, mom, dad, sister, dogs, what you would expect in an ordinary world only it felt kind of different; weird actually.
It was after I returned home that the unsettling feeling in my stomach began to worsen. Something was off. I couldn’t explain it though. It was just odd but as I made my way toward the elevator I finally discovered why.
Struck with the sudden urge to look outside, I rolled up to the living room window and peered down at the front yard. I wasn’t particularly sure what I was searching for…until I saw her. It was a girl unlike any I’ve ever seen before. To deny that I checked her out would be lie but to be honest, she was very hot and cute at the same time. What really caught my attention was her unique deep blue hair. Its highly exaggerated length trailed down the white collared long-sleeved button-down top she wore, reaching the hem line of her short pleated light-blue skirt. Matching blue and white striped thigh-high stockings stretched down ravishingly long legs to be met by a pair of brown shoes. Then my eyes took in sight of her exquisite sized breasts. Soon I felt the blood rushing towards my…nose. (Wait, what?)
“She must be going to some kind of convention or something,” I silently thought to myself, “I mean, c’mon, no one seriously walks around looking like that. Even though that would be awesome if hot girls did. I’m practically drooling looking at this girl. Think un-perverted thoughts, think un-perverted thoughts. Shit, I just had a crap load of perverted thoughts! But look at her, I can almost see under her…”
“Lanx!” my sister yelled, bringing me back to the here and now.
“Yes?”
“You’ve been staring outside for the past ten minutes, is there something there?”
“I thought I saw- wait, you didn’t see anyone out there?” I glanced back to the window but much to my disappointment she was gone.
“No, I think you’re seeing things. All those video games you play must be messing with your head.”
“Fuck you,” I replied jokingly.
She smiled. “Fine, I’ll leave you alone in your little fantasy word.”
“Looooove you.” I called as she left the room.
“Dammit! The hot girl is gone!”
But that was far from the last time I would see the blue-haired girl.
