Elements-Chapter 1

Intro

"Get up to your room young lady! and you can forget about going to the movies tomorrow night!" yelled Anena's mom.

Ugh! When was her mom ever going to be fair? So what if her phone bill was sixty dollars over the limit. The only solution to Anena it seemed, was to get a higher limit. "Whatever!" Anena sneered back. Of course she was upset that she wasn't going to the movies tomorrow but, why give her mom any pleasure in punishing her? "Guess I'll just waste a perfectly good friday night in this place," murmered Anena to herself.

She plopped down on her bed and started to put her headphones on when she heard a tap on her window. She swereved around to find her best friend, Peyton, smiling gleefully at her. Peyton had long, brown, straight hair. Her eyes were an emerald green and her skin was a crisp tan that all the girls envied. Her and Anena were part of the most popular clique in school. Seeing how Anena had big, blonde, curls and bold, blue eyes. With her skin being pale Anena and Peyton were practically opposites in appearence. "Ssh! quiet," Anena whispered with her finger to her mouth. Anena carefully and quietly opened her window enough for Peyton to squeeze through.

"Rough day with the parents I assume?" Peyton questioned.

"Yeah, I'm stuck in here all day plus tomorrow night." Anena said.

"No! not tomorrow! Thats our movie night! ugh. Now what am i suppose to do on a friday night?" Peyton whined.

"Keep me company all night?" Anena suggested. Both the girls laughed.

"Well, you better go before my mom hears us talking." Anena said.

"Good idea. I like to stay on parent's good sides." Peyton agreed. So she squeezed back out the window and waved her way goodbye.
