The Order

I loved him so much, but they weren't having any of it. "Your destiny path is higher than his"

"Why can't you like Lucas? Hes a sensible boy. He has good destiny". I hated them. They always had to control everything and everyone. It was their way of keeping everyone in order. It was their way of keeping everyone in line. No one was allowed to have their own voice. We were the pawns in their exclusive chess game.

Maybe I should explain. I'm Keida Star. I am 15 years old, and I am one of the 'lucky' people who have been 'accepted' into a system called The Order. But the truth is I'm not lucky, and I didn't have a choice whether I wanted to be part of The Order, none of us do.

We are what The Order call 'The Supreme Destiny Numbers'. This is pretty confusing, so maybe I should explain further...

Your Destiny Number is what you are born with. It decides everything in your life. Your future, your abilities and you life! There are 10 Destiny Numbers, and each one is very different. But your Destiny Number is like a ranking, with 10 being the best, and 1 being the worst. I you are born 7 and above, then you are autimaticlay taken by The Order to be 'taught', but I know different.

They are scared of us, they know we have powers...abilities that if put to our use, are capable of taken down The Order. They want to brainwash us. Make us think like them, act like them and make us believe that what they think is right.

So what about me? I have a Destiny Number of 10. They say that number 10s are more capable of following The Order. But they just want this to be true. Number 10s are really the most powerful number. I've seen it.

And the love of my life, Theo Westwood? Hes a number 7, the 'rebel number'. I guess he is a rebel really. He hated The Order trying to control him. Don't get me wrong, I hate it too, but I know that I can't step out of line. People disappear when they step out of line.

So what are these abilities? These powers that we possess? It depends on your number. Well obviously, Number 1s being the lowest ranking will have the weakest powers such as talking to animals or changing into an animal of their choice, some of them don't have a power at all. Whereas Number 10s being the highest ranking will have the strongest powers such as mind control, and mind reading, or a very unique power that no one knows about of have experienced before.

But I don't know what my power is, for I haven't been given mine. Mine was taken away by The Order. It must be pretty impressive, if they don't want me to have it yet. If they want to see if I can be 'trusted'. Theo can fly. I would love to fly! To be free. At least Theo has that. I don't, I have to stay in The Order's good books untill I get my powers.

Complicated huh? And thats just the start! There is so much more I have to tell you, but so little time left. Untill next time, I will be here, staying quiet and keeping my head down...
